"I had hired Southern Berkshire Tree to remove 6 white pines out of my backyard without easy access to the yard and I could not imagine there being a better tree service in the county. I had hired another company before sbts to remove one tree, and they destroyed my yard and had to get 12 yards of dirt to repair it. But with Scott and his crew it was low impact to my yard with no damage at all. Great communication before, during and after the job was done. Cleanup was superb and beyond what one would expect. Not to mention the price was comparable to other quotes but may not get the quality from others. Highly recommend them!"

You can remove a small tree from your yard if there’s space for the tree to fall, you have the right tools and safety equipment, and you follow a clear plan of action. For small trees, tree removal should take just a couple of hours to complete. If it’s your property, then you can plant a tree near power lines, but it’s not the best idea. Any vegetation that grows within 10 feet or so of power lines will fall under the responsibility of the utility company, and they may trim or remove it as necessary. If you do move forward with your plan, try to choose a smaller ornamental tree, plant it as far away from the power lines as you can, and keep it trimmed to avoid future problems.
