"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

Principle Designer & Project Manager:\nBrenda Be\n\nBackground\n\nBrenda's studies in art and design began at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth- in Sculpture, and the Studio Furniture division of the Program in Artisanry. Here she began an ongoing exploration of varied, unusual, and reclaimed materials; learned essential construction techniques in wood and metal; and absorbed principles of composition, color, and form. She later worked in Graphic Design for companies such as Gillette and Simon & Schuster, continuing work with color, shape, and space.\n\nMethods\n\nBrenda designs for architectural interiors in the same way as she creates a work of art: by addressing materials, process, humor, function, and theme (style). The design process for her is a collaboration with the client's taste and needs, the strengths and weaknesses of building and site, and the challenges of budget. The goal is a project which is a complete whole with as much interest and integrity as a sculpture or installation.\n\nBrenda strives to never work rigidly in any one historical or contemporary mode, but to design interiors that seem to have naturally "grown" within building and site to perfectly suit the lifestyle and aesthetics of the client - which feel at once both timeless, and completely fresh.\n\nWe offer three primary levels of service:\n\n1. Design with Project Management:\n\nComplete design for projects budgeted from $20,000 to $400,000 and up; from a single room such as bath or kitchen to a total renovation. Can include furniture and finishings in conjunction with a renovation. \n\nAlternately, traditional interior design projects such as space planning, furniture and finishings, with budgets of $10,000 and up.\n\nBilling is done as a percentage of budget, or when appropriate, as a flat fee, so you always know what your design fee will be.\n\n-Includes meetings and revisions as needed until client is fully satisfied. Redesigns, if required, are addressed separately. \n-We come to you for all meetings. \n-Project management services during any construction phase are included. \n\n2. Purchasing Services:\n\nComplete purchasing of all products, unusual, or decorative materials. Never includes basic structural or subsurface materials which contractors provide. We guarantee our purchasing and will work with vendors to resolve availability or warranty issues for one to three years. \n\n\n3. Construction and Maintenance Services:\n\nWe can provide many construction and maintenance services for some projects. We draw from a roster of professionals we have vetted and used before, or from meeting with multiple professionals in a given category until we are satisfied of finding the right quality at the right price for a given process.\n-This is particularly applicable to smaller projects that require limited services such as custom cabinetry and built-ins, electrical installation as a function of lighting or media designs, or similar services. \n-It can also include supplemental maintenance or other services related to a larger construction project, such as structural engineering or architectural services for additions or structural changes, architectural and legal services for condo conversions, landscaping or pool services, insect or animal control, lead or asbestos abatement, etc.\n\nWe may provide resources and referrals to help you make your choice if we cannot provide construction services.
