"Asphalt Division did an amazing job at an amazing price and finished my (fairly long) driveway (including an area for a car turnaround) on time and ahead of schedule. The good experience started when my call was returned immediately, something that is rare these days where you are lucky if people return your messages at all. Next, John was able to quickly give me an accurate and fair estimate of the project price (using Google Street View) within a few minutes. Once the team was on site, they listened to my needs, and then executed them during the paving process. They were quick, professional, and cleaned up the surrounding area after they were done. Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.
