"This company is awesome! I called them on Thursday, sent a deposit on Friday. They started the job on Tuesday and were done on Thursday. They had to rip up a circular driveway and put in a new one and a walkway. The did a fantastic job. I have 2 neighbors that are going to call them to do work for them! I called another paving company and they never returned my call. Coastal is as good as it gets!"

"We had John and the crew do work on our driveway, including fixing the apron and putting down new stone on our approximately 100‑ft long driveway. The process was done right from start to finish—they laid down hard pack first, rolled it out, then added the stone and rolled that as well. A new asphalt apron was installed at the top, and it came out beautiful. In addition, a drain was installed in our other driveway to catch water running down from the road, which made a big difference. John and the crew were professional, on time, and extremely hard‑working. We plan to hire them again this spring to asphalt our other driveway. Highly recommend John and the crew for quality work and great results."

"Patrick, the owner of Limelight Landscaping, is a true professional with years of experience here on Cape Cod. He and his team are extremely pleasant, reliable, hardworking and always on time. We hired Limelight three years ago and have been more than pleased with the service he and his team provide. More importantly, we have observed Patrick and his team - many of which are family members - to be consistently pleasant and respectful when they are working at our home. They are an absolute delight to have working on our property. I highly recommend them for any Garden and Landscaping Services, as well as Hardscaping-Patio and Walkway Design & Installation. He and his team build the most beautiful border wall along the entire property, as well as an exquisite stone patio and fire pit. FIVE STARS! GREAT LOCAL BUSINESS AND OUTSTANDING TEAM! Paving Services questions, answered by experts

The stones do not work well on uneven ground. If the stones are not buried into the ground and made level upon installation, they almost certainly will shift or crack on uneven ground. Additionally, rainwater or water from sprinklers can run under the edge of an uneven paver, causing erosion. In a freeze and thaw cycle, trapped water under the paver can cause the problem to worsen by shifting the stepping stones around. Use a bubble level to make sure the ground under each paver is as even as possible, even if the nearby ground is uneven.

Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.

Permeable paving is a good option for a lot of reasons. It can help prevent flooding, keeps harmful chemicals from polluting our water, and can divert water away from your home’s foundation. Plus, it can add a rustic aesthetic to your outdoor area, might prevent pests who breed in water, and may even qualify for tax rebates.

An asphalt driveway should be at least 3 inches thick over a compacted gravel base. Areas with poor drainage should have a thicker stone base. To install a new asphalt driveway over an existing driveway, the new asphalt should be at least 2 inches thick and the existing driveway should be in relatively good condition.
