"Gaby helped us remodel our kitchen. We wanted to keep our existing custom cabinets but modernize the appearance. Gaby transformed the look from a country style kitchen to a more modern, crisp design by: -extending the cabinets about 10” to the ceiling, and adding molding and trim work -replacing faux legs in our island and cooking area with clean edges -building custom decorative panels for the island and columns -removing a cabinet to make room for a beverage center -countless repairs and fixes Gaby also coordinated painting - both the cabinets and the ceiling/walls, and painted over 50 cabinet doors/drawers himself. The painting turned out absolutely beautiful and professional - as if the cabinets were white from the beginning. He also coordinated many of the other jobs, including recommending an electrician for us who was also very reliable and professional. In many ways, he acted like a GC for us in addition to a carpenter. Can’t say enough about Gaby. He is an outstanding, meticulous carpenter. He knows his stuff in and out. He is reliable, prompt, efficient, reasonable, and goes above and beyond to deliver amazing results. "This company is great! My very old master bedroom air conditioner failed in the night before a day when Temps were ro be 96 degrees or higher. I called in the am. They were fully booked but promised to watch for jobs that finished early and they did send someone at 2:30 PM. Derek did a fantastic job under very hot Temps . Fit the replacement in and put some caulking in to fill tiny gaps. He even swapped the top rail from the old ac with the newer one as the new ac top rail was not wide enough for the wall opening. He cut a small bit off of the existing stained wood frame to make it fit just right. Derek was meticulously clean. I had a follow up question after Derek left and Steve was thorough and courteous returning my call immediately. I have had this company fix a kitchen cabinet and they were great then as well. I have had two very good experiences and cannot thank them enough for caring enough to get right out to get our ac running so we could sleep in our master bedroom."

"I can't speak highly enough about this company. When I called to arrange an on site visit for an estimate, they showed up on time and listened to everything I had to say about the job. I was given a written quote on the spot (something I rarely see from contractors), so I offered them the job. To my surprise, he said he could get started the very next day (a Saturday) and that they would be able to finish the following Monday when the deck had dried off. They arrived to start the job when they said they would, and got to work right away. I was concerned I would need to move the stuff we have on the decks, but they told me they could simply move them to the side and then move them back when they were done. They did exactly that, and everything was put back to its original position when they were finished. They were power washing all day, and were very thorough. When they came back two days later, they again went to work right away rebuilding the stairs and water sealing the deck. The stairs look great! They even added a step so the bottom step could sit more securely on the concrete (it had been resting on a cinder block before being rebuilt). They advised to wait 1-2 days for the water sealer to dry before using the decks, we paid them, and they did a great job cleaning up when they left. I wish all contractors we hired were as efficient and straightforward as the people working at Melvin Power Wash. I will absolutely call on them again when my decks need maintenance, or if my house needs a wash."

"If you want the short answer: we are super happy with the work. The more detailed answer: Each member of the company was professional. Mike made a point to be on site the first day.. He ensured we were comfortable and understood each step in the process as well as provided a timeline they would follow. The craftsmanship was beautiful. As a hobbyist carpenter/cabinetry maker I appreciated the fine lines and attention to detail our crew made. Their work was as clean as my own interior work and really makes the outside of our house nicer. They removed my old front porch which supports a modest roof, installed new footings, framed out and lagged ledgers to the house (which sounds normal but the original was not done this way when the house was built in 87), used all trex composite materials for decking and molded railings, and pvc wrapped all posts in 6x6. The new stairs they built are beautiful and as they made them to code they were able to add one more which will make it so much easier for my elderly father to visit (he hasn't visited due to the daunting front stairs). I can't say enough good things about Mike and his crew. I will admit that their pricing is not ultra competitive. I imagine they compensate their workers for the excellent craftsmanship... but they did come in about 10% higher than the average. I believe I got more than 10% better than the average craftsmanship though. I look forward to requesting more quotes and seeing if we can do more business for siding and an additional leisure deck in back. I hope with the price of materials coming back down to earth my next projects will be more competitive in pricing. We are super happy with the work and would highly recommend them."
