"After Lowe's came to clean the dyer vents at my condo building, my dryer was no longer venting. I contacted them and initially they said they would send someone to check the vent. They then called back and said my vent was never clean because it was disconnected and they could not help me. This was strange because the dryer was working fine before they came. Also, in my trash there was foil tape that you would wrap around the vent. This made me think that they did try to clean the vent despite saying they did nothing. I contacted my management company who said there were never any previous issues with my vent. I called Lowe's back and told them this and they still insisted that they never touched it but would check with the technician. I looked into it my self and found that in the section of the vent between the dryer and the ceiling there was a mass of lint the size of a small animal (see the picture). It was so large that moisture from the dryer had also built up and flooded the bottom of the vent hose. The building manager was then able to clear another mass of lint from the section of the vent in the ceiling and the dryer then started venting to the outside. It was never disconnected like Lowe's said. It seems they started cleaning it and just jammed the dust all the way back to the dryer. Why they didn't finish removing it is a mystery. If they ever service my building again, I will refuse."

"It went very well. Scott spoke to us about our needs, the pricing and the installation. He worked us into his schedule quickly, given that we had no A/C in June. His crew came at 5AM so they could work in the attic and they did a very quick and thorough job, out by Noon. The installers were very friendly, professional and helpful. They gave us a lot of information about our system and demonstrated the controls on the thermostat. They also took care to clean up after themselves. We're very satisfied with the unit they installed, a big improvement over the old one in terms of comfort and efficiency."
