"When I first met Edwin he was very polite. He promised to follow the explicit details of the project which were to match existing fence. He said he would start in two weeks. When he finally showed up it had been a month. He stayed for a few hours and went home sick after having brought a small amount of disgraceful materials. I mistakenly agreed to pay $300 for these in advance. The wood was cracked, some posts too large and the boards the wrong species. After being instructed not to use a specific post he did so anyway. Then proceeded to make the gate a foot shorter than fence. After he left I noticed the cross bars were pine which he argued and lied over until Angi got involved. To keep job he agreed to get cedar like the original fence. By then I had had enough manipulation and childishness. He insisted on finishing job and I did not want him to. So in fear he would, I had to keep and move the materials he lazily left. If I do not get my $300 back I am glad because the gentleman working for him was very kind and I don’t want Edwin having an excuse not to pay him. Edwin is dishonest, and immature. I do not recommend him! My parents recently passed away and I wanted the project done for my Mother at least by Father’s Day. I am disabled and my puppy who is helping me to survive is not safely contained in my front yard. The Summer is wasted because I cannot empty the garage and get my home ready for a future PCA. Edwin knows not what he did and didn’t do. Do not hire this person and God Bless!"

"I paid close to $6,000 4 years ago and 2 years ago 1 of the posts was wobbling. A very grumpy Dan said it was because I had a plant hanging from it!! BTW...I see that they give a 5% discount for seniors. I was 70 then and never got THAT! About 2 months ago, I noticed that 4 posts were like loose teeth and I was having trouble closing the 2 gates. 5 PHONE CALLS AND SEVERAL VOICE MAILS WERE NEVER RETURNED!!! I have since had someone else come and replace...all were rotted! The contractor said it was pretty shabby work as none of the posts were put in properly! I guess I will be replacing the rest down the road. Never expected this on a 4 year old fence! I'd avoid this company at all costs!"

"I am the most anal person in the world, I want everything I hire someone to do to come out perfect. I want them to care about what they are doing and I want it done professionally, on time and for a reasonable price. I would say it is getting harder and harder to find anyone who really cares and is good at what they do. I would do so much more if I could count on the work to be exceptional. I worry, I am a pain in the *** - I question everything and everyone I hire about every little thing they are doing. It is indeed quite hard for me to find anyone to hire and a long shot at me being happy with their job. That being said, if you are looking for a company to put up a fence, Armstrong is the one -- the only one you want. I AM H A P P Y !!!! - actually very happy with the job they did for me. I never say that about anyone but these guys are like super heros to me. From the start - very easy to schedule an appointment, came out to measure quickly, I had the quote in a couple days - actually, I had them quote four different variations of the fence ...I didn't know what I wanted. No problem, totally understanding and happy to do it for me. Time frame to start was reasonable - and in spite of the rotten april/may weather - they started exactly when they said they would. So very impressed with that. This was a really tough tough job - lots of rocks, hard terrain. The guys worked hard. They listened, actually listened and remembered what was important to me. They took a lot of care to make this look so nice. They were incredibly neat - cleaned up and the fence looked like it was always there - not like it was just put in. I can not recommend these guys highly enough. If you are looking for a fence contractor your search is over. My sincere appreciation to Armstrong for making this so easy and turn out so nice. I am still smiling ear to ear just thinking about it and how lucky I was to have hired them."

"After two months my fence almost came up out of the ground and on the street during a small wind storm when all my neighbors older fences were fine. When I reached out for them to fix it they were unresponsive...wouldn't recommend using them. Spend an extra $1,000 and get your fence done properly."
