"After at least 30 years of major wear and tear, our bluestone patio around our swimming pool required a MAJOR restoration. The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. We were constantly consulted on decisions related to material and design, and the Ion's craftsmanship is evident in the final product. We highly recommend I.C. Masonry and Ion will be our first call whenever we have need for his skills."

"The repair was to the property front steps (brick/cement/stone). The job was done at a very reasonable price, in the manner that was explained to me and it was done in a timely manner. Jim kept me informed all the way through the project as to what was going on, and his team came when they said they would come, they did the work professionally, and they cleaned up afterwards. "My backyard had a failing timber wall that the previous owner had propped up with posts, and had allowed it to lean into rapidly deteriorating shed. Jim's crew came in, removed the shed and timber wall, and also removed an intact but inadequate stone wall extending from the backyard to the street, a total distance of around 40 feet. He replaced that entire length with a beautiful split-faced masonry wall and poured a new concrete walkway to improve access to the backyard. Jim is the ultimate professional. He takes great pride in his work, loves to talk masonry and answer questions about the project, and is very transparent about pricing. The walkway was an add-on to the original project scope due to some unexpected circumstances uncovered during excavation, but he explained this at length and took photos so I could see why the additional work was required. I would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend his services."
