"Dennis is a true professional. Not only was he the quickest to reach out to me, he came when he said he would come and bought all the materials upfront to do the job. He showed me exactly what he was going to do and even cleaned up the dust and drywall mess. He mounted the TV with no issues and routed the electrical through the wall and it looks great. He was fast and efficient and I highly recommend him to anyone needing any type of home improvements."

"They system was installed for the basic, but anything that you wanted needed to be higher upgraded require alot of extra money for every upgrade.
The 36.99 monthly fee was for only if your system is connected to a landline. I didnnt notice that they charge me $44.99 until my 1st month fee. Thats when I was told that they charge $44.99 because the alram was connected to my cable line instead. I was unaware of the different charges. When tec came out he didnt show up to fix the corrected. Had to call the main company for the no show. So they schedule another appointment and offered 2 window alarms to fix the correction but my bill still is $44.99. Default is that since I didnt have extra money to upgrade to the Pulse, you dont know if you turn the alarm to your house properly. I called the 800 number and they cant tell either!

Home Security Systems questions, answered by experts

Security cameras do not need wiring if they are wireless, meaning they are battery-operated and can connect through Wi-Fi. You’ll need to change the batteries on a wireless camera and ensure you have a steady connection to Wi-Fi for video storage. If you have a wired security camera, you’ll need to plug it into an outlet or other power source and a DVR device.

In general, keyless door locks are considered safe, and their security depends on the type and quality of the lock. They cannot be picked like a traditional lock and often include added features like biometric access, PIN codes, and smartphone connectivity, which can make them more secure. However, they are not without risks. Potential vulnerabilities include hacking for Wi-Fi-connected models, battery failure, power outages, and technical malfunctions. To maximize security, it is important to choose a reliable brand, stay on top of software updates, and perform regular maintenance. While the risks are different, keyless locks are not considered more dangerous than traditional locks.

A steel door that's been toughened up with extra materials creates the perfect barrier. These bad boys are way stronger than your typical wooden or fiberglass doors, making them a fantastic choice for folks who want that extra layer of security for their homes. So, if you're all about keeping things super secure, a reinforced steel door will cost you more, but it is your best bet.

The average cost to install a home security system is about $750. However, the price can range from as little as $200 for a simple wireless camera setup to $2,000 for a fully monitored, hardwired system. A typical price range is $280 to $1,150. Several factors determine the final cost, including the type of system, equipment, materials, labor, activation fees, monthly surveillance fees, and permits. Optional upgrades will also add to the price, such as video surveillance monitoring ($40–$65 per month), smart locks ($150), smart lighting ($15–$90), smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarms ($35–$100), and a smart thermostat ($130–$500).

There is no “better” option, as it depends on your personal preferences and home’s needs. Wireless systems are much easier to install, making them DIY-friendly. Wired systems offer a more reliable connection that is not tied to a router, but they typically require professional installation.
