"Renes came to our newly purchased condo and, after a thorough inspection, gave us a very reasonable written detailed estimate of the painting work that we had requested. He noticed details about the work to be done that other painting contractors had not mentioned to us. Communication with him and his office manager was always prompt and helpful. The interior painting job took four days (which is exactly how long he had told us that it would take) and was beautifully done, with real attention to detail. After we had picked out the specific Benjamin Moore colors and paint sheen to be used (with advice from Renes), Renes bought all of the paint (at a contractor's discount) and started the job three days after we had decided to hire him. All of his workers were prompt and friendly and did an excellent job of safely moving two large china cabinets. We inspected the work each day (with Renes proudly showing us specific details of repairs that he had done so the painting would be effective in certain areas) and Renes was quick to accept the small suggestions that we made. After completing the work, Renes left us the leftover paint in case touch ups were needed and he and his workers cleaned up everything. The paint job itself was perfect -- no paint bleed-overs onto the trim, no paint marks on the floors or windows, and no extra charges over the original written estimate that we had been given. We would happily hire R & J Painting again!"

"Paulo and his team were on time, professional, and highly skilled. MP Remodeling took down 20+ year old wallpaper in 3 rooms as well as hallways on two floors. Additionally they patched/repaired the walls. We brought them back to paint the rooms as well as trim and 10+ doors which were stained dark and are now painted brilliant white. We are going to hire them again for some upcoming projects."

"After purchasing our new home, we needed someone to come in to strip wallpaper in a few rooms of our house and to paint as much of the interior as we could afford. We hired Big Brush Painting after meeting with a number of painters and evaluating quotes for a few simple reasons. First, their review history here on Angie's List is stellar. Second, they were exceedingly punctual in their emails, phone calls, and their first visit to the house. Third, they were friendly, straightforward and down-to-earth. And finally, their price simply couldn't be beat. Their prices for painting were on par with or lower than most of the painters we spoke with, but their price for wallpaper stripping was less than half what others were charging. Initially we were skeptical about this, but after meeting with Rish and Rodrigo about the condition of our walls, we felt confidant in their recommendations and time estimates. We hired them to strip all of the wallpaper (living room, dining room, foyer, stairwell and upstairs/downstairs hallways), and then to paint the living room, foyer, stairwell and upstairs/downstairs hallways. We intended to paint the four bedrooms and the dining room ourselves, but in the end we ran out of time so we asked Rodrigo to add the dining room to his job. Arthur answered my query within a day. Celso was out to look at requirements and prepare a quote with another couple of days.

Ede came in and removed all cabinet doors and drawers and took them to the Bright shop for prep work and spay painting.

Ede and Sam came back with the doors and drawers and worked very hard for 2 days, taping, covering priming sanding  and finishing. The doors and drawers were re-installed and the entire area thoroughly cleaned.

We could not be happier. The guys took off their shoes while in the house, were friendly and could not do enough for us. There was one minor issue that was my fault and they came back within a day and took care of it.

"Steve at Hollywood Junk was extremely responsive and helpful. With an hour of requesting a quote, I received a reasonable quote from Steve and agreed to hire him to do the job. He advised he could do the job today and we setup a time and he called me when he was 15 minutes away to let me know he was on the way. My job was completed with 3 hours of submitting my request. The treadmill I needed to have removed needed to be taken apart to get out the door and he had the tools necessary."
