I had used Rish once before to do some exterior painting and chose him again to do interior work because the first job went well.  Same results with this job ... the newly painted rooms look fantastic.  Given Rish did all of the work himself, it was impressive.

The work was good, and so was the finish, but the work was made better by me picking up on small things towards the end of the job. They fixed all that and there was no problems. They were responsive, and comfortable to talk to and work with. Their communication was excellent. They were detail-oriented, including in things like showing up on time. I would use them in the future, if necessary.

Rish was prompt and courteous and we were able to schedule the work within a satisfactory time window. The fellows who did the work were on time, neat, and professional. There was a heat spell near the end of the project and I was impressed that they stayed at it until the work was done. One flaw was that some of the soffit area discussed during the estimate was not painted, but it was pretty trivial. I ended up cleaning this area with a bleach solution and it didn't need painting. I did not bring this up with Rish. If I had, I'm sure he would have come back to take care of those areas. The deck and areas painted looked (and still look) great!

Rish got back to us with a quote immediately. He was incredibly responsive and professional. His quote was not the cheapest, but it wasn't the most either. I thought it was very reasonable for the work being performed. We delayed the project to coordinate with some other work we were going to have done. Rish remained in contact but wasn't pushy. Once a date was set, Rish came on time and worked diligently. The finished product was of high quality - he really knows his job well. He cleaned up each day and we were able to maintain a semblance of a normal life during the project. At times, we had to be around during the day and Rish was unobtrusive and pleasant to have around. I would definitely use him again and would not hestiate to recommend him to my friends/family.

I found Big Brush Painting on Angie's List and liked that they were local. Rish got back to me within a day and came to the house to provide an estimate. His price was fair and $150 less than what a large painting company quoted me. Rish completed the work as quoted and in the two day time frame he predicted. He is very detail oriented and professional. Our plaster walls were in rough shape and look new!

They were ok. The communication was not very smooth with the person in charge. Overall it was pretty good. They missed a couple of spots. They said they will comeback and take care of it.

After purchasing our new home, we needed someone to come in to strip wallpaper in a few rooms of our house and to paint as much of the interior as we could afford. We hired Big Brush Painting after meeting with a number of painters and evaluating quotes for a few simple reasons. First, their review history here on Angie's List is stellar. Second, they were exceedingly punctual in their emails, phone calls, and their first visit to the house. Third, they were friendly, straightforward and down-to-earth. And finally, their price simply couldn't be beat. Their prices for painting were on par with or lower than most of the painters we spoke with, but their price for wallpaper stripping was less than half what others were charging. Initially we were skeptical about this, but after meeting with Rish and Rodrigo about the condition of our walls, we felt confidant in their recommendations and time estimates. We hired them to strip all of the wallpaper (living room, dining room, foyer, stairwell and upstairs/downstairs hallways), and then to paint the living room, foyer, stairwell and upstairs/downstairs hallways. We intended to paint the four bedrooms and the dining room ourselves, but in the end we ran out of time so we asked Rodrigo to add the dining room to his job. They worked very fast, and we're beyond pleased with quality of the results. On top of that, on more than one occasion Rodrigo gave us helpful painting tips, let us use a few of his tools and supplies, and rescued us from making colossal mistakes in our own work, even going so far as to patch all the way around a damaged doorway in one of the rooms we were working on. I won't hesitate to use Big Brush again or to recommend them to anyone in need of this type of work. They were well worth the money we spent.

Rish is very responsive and polite. He cleaned up after himself each day and the finished room looks great.

Rishava responded to my call immediately and he was able to come to my house the next day to see the work that needed to be done. He said that the job would take three days (due to drying time). He gave me a quote in person and then followed up with an email to confirm and he also let me know exactly what kind of paint that I needed to purchase. The work was completed on time and I am also very happy with the quality.

I called and left a message describing the work I wanted done. Rish called me promptly and was able to give me a quote by the description of the work and using a video we took of the space. He did forget to email the quote, but did so immediately when I called him back and was very apologetic. After that he was very prompt, responsive and easy to get hold of the entire process. He was very flexible with the scheduling, working with very tight time constraints and was able to change the dates at the last minute due to other work we needed done. On the first day of the painting Rish and Rodrigo arrived on time. The price changed slightly due to some additional work that needed to be done, which was ok with me since I did not realize that the whole ceiling and not just a section needed to be painted. Rodrigo did a wonderful job and left the space clean. The second bedroom required more work then was initially anticipated and Rodrigo worked late to get it done. Both Rish and Rodrigo were very professional and pleasant to deal with. I will use them again if I need any additional painting done.

Overall, we were pleased with the work. Rishava came out and met us and gave an estimate. Then we waited for about a month to schedule the job. The painting work was beautiful. The crew was friendly and sensitive to our needs. We were told the work would take two days, however it ended up taking two and a half. I had to do a little extra cleanup after, just minor stuff to get rid of dust. Crew was a little late arriving on the second day, hence the "B" grade for punctuality. Overall, though, A quality work. The rooms came out beautifully.

I was impressed with them because the supervisor came daily to see how the work was going. They were very good with working with our schedule. They did a good job except for the clean up. They left a lot of dust for us to clean up.

The work was excellent! Once the old stuff was gone, there was not much to work with, but the finished product looks amazing! Stuck to his original estimate even with some unforeseen issues. I would recommend them to anyone who needs painting and/or light carpentry done.

I felt that I got better value for money than in any other painting job I have had done in 30 years at this house. The ceilings were in much worse shape than I had realized and they did a wonderful job fixing them. In the dining room they took extra care to make it look good despite multiple cracks. On the porches they fixed some railings and spindles that were rotten and did not charge for them. They suggested adding a non slip powder to the porch paint and I accepted their suggestion. I gave them a bonus at the end of the job because I was so pleased with their work. They initially tried to refuse the bonus but I insisted. They are a young new team trying to establish themselves and certainly giving good value for money. Not only that but they are punctual and pleasant. I strongly recommend them and would have got them to do more work for me in July if they did not already have some more customers scheduled.

They were professional, responsive and meticulous. I will use them again very shortly because they took great care and were pleasant to have around. Additionally they were very patient with me.... it took a while to land on a color scheme that I liked....

This is the second time I've worked with Rish and it was another great experience. He sticks to the price quoted, arrives on time to do the work, cleans up at the end of the job, and my study now looks gorgeous.

Rish was very prompt and courteous throughout and (for the most part), the paint job was quite well done and we are happy with the end product. That said, we came back Saturday after vacation to find painters still at work in the house despite our understanding that the job would be finished when we got back. There were bubbles in the paint in the guest room (due to rush, & hot & sunny), the radiators hadn't been painted as promised, the railing was uninstalled, there was paint on a sink, one section of wall was painted the wrong color, a couple of spots had been missed, and there was a substantial amount of dust left over. We discussed these issues with Rish and (aside from the dust which we cleaned ourselves immediately because of small children) he addressed them within a few days. When he did lower the railing, it was to the wrong height and he had to come back a 3rd time. We are now noticing other places that were insufficiently prepped/sanded.

What a fantastic job they did. These guys are the best I have ever seen. They are the best contractors that I have worked with in a long time. Everyone was clean and very net. They made sure every thing was covered and taped off. They cleaned up when they were done and the work went very fast. I will hire them again before I call anyone else.

They originally estimated a lower price, but by the second day of work it was obvious to both of us that the project was going to be significantly more extensive and than anticipated. We sat down and discussed how to approach the remainder of the project and we agreed to work on a "Time and Materials" basis. Rish had based his estimate original estimate on 4 days with a crew of 4 guys. It ended up taking about 7 full days.

I called Big Brush Painting, and Rish came over on a Saturday morning to give an estimate within 20 minutes of my call. He said they could start in about a week, and a week later, he started. They arrived on time each day and worked long days to complete the job. Both Rish and his co-worker were extremely polite and careful to protect the refinished floors, and the quality of their work was very good. Overall, Rish is very responsive and listens carefully to questions and concerns regarding the work. Unlike many tradespeople, he is a problem solver rather than an additional burden.

It went very well. Rish is very professional, honest, and patient. They painters were very neat, which is much appreciated. I couldn't decide on what color to paint my bedroom and decided at the last minute. Rish was very accommodating and began the work the next day. The project took about 4.5 days to complete, and I'm very pleased.

This is the second time we have hired them to do paint our home. We were given a detailed quote and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They also stayed right with in the price that they quoted us.

Scheduling was a bit tricky, but the job got done.

It looks wonderful. Rish was, as always, quite professional and responsive. He showed up on time and the place looks great. There were a few sloppy parts, but in general it was quite good. They also repaired our mantle, which we didn't expect at all.
