"The co was very professional and punctual but their pricing was crazy expensive. I took their quote and sent it to another vendor who came back at half the price before I even tried to haggle. I'm sorry but 2,000 for a stock shower door installed is ridiculous. If you didn't want the job then please don't waste my time and just say so."
"He custom made etched side lights for my front entry. They are stunning and I couldn't be happier. I did a lot of research and was happy from beginning of the process to the end. They came back to me with every detail for my approval."

"I was looking to repair the putty around the panes on a 1930s vintage clear glass window and was afraid I got someone who specialized in stained glass and wouldn't want my job but he did a great job and even helped me with a second window I had forgotten about (only shows from the outside but needed same attention). Very flexible, very personable, a pleasure to work with. Thanks, Ken!"
"Eric repaired a china hutch door with leaded glass inserts. He took it to his shop, repaired the glass and lead, brought it back and reinstalled it in good order."
"They were terrific, from start to finish. At our initial contact in August, Sabrina discussed scope and provided an estimate. Upon signing a contract, Maia put us in touch with various partner vendors to select fixtures, trim, tile, and stonewwork in October: they provided great guidance. When the work began in January, project manager David kept us apprised on the various steps (demo, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, etc.) and was very responsive to questions that arose. Jose made sure that the necessary fixtures and materials were delivered when needed. Marcio, the carpenter, did beautiful work matching our existing Victorian trim. Andreina, the operations manager, juggled all the scheduling flawlessly, and our main contact once work started. The job was mostly done in 6 weeks. The glass shower door was delayed a couple of weeks due to a problem at the vendor's end."
"I brought my 2009 Toyota Camry to Tint King. They tinted all four doors and the back window. I chose their better quality product as I plan to have this car along time. The job took about and hour and a half. I waited onsite. It looks great. Real nice job. However the inside of my trunk was soaking wet after the job. Not sure how that happened but I wish they would have cleaned up after themselves. I kinda wish that I had chosen a darker tint for the back doors and window but it is hard to tell how it is going to look until its done. I am happy with the job. It has been 3 months and no problems. The car looks great. If you go there they are around the back of the building at a garage bay not in the office part of the building. "
"I had contacted 2 other masons the previous year and they said I needed a whole new set of stairs...which I did not want. Then, I called Brendan at Murray Masonry during the summer, who told me up front that he would not be able to do the job that year, but he would come and take a look. I was very impressed. Brendan showed up on time and took the time to listen that I liked what I had and did not want new stairs. He said he could "restore it" and told me of several similar projects he had done on the northshore.. In the spring, Brendan contacted me to see if I was still interested, and I was. He sent me a quote and work began in April. To my surprise, the stairs were dismantled! and reworked over the course of 3 days (a few hours each day as the cement had to dry). Unfortunately, upon completion, there was one small glitch. The worker on right side was not as attentive and his work was out of plum. When I brought that to Brendan's attention, that area was taken apart and redone. The following day, my stairs were polished and my blue stone is spectacular. I am very happy."
DIY is possible for small projects, but professional installation ensures proper sealing, structural integrity, and a precise finish.
Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.
Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.
Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home. Do not use regular tile mortar because it may not have the binding strength and flexibility required for glass block windows.
Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.
