"Fantastic job. From beginning with the estimate to finishing up the installation of the new lawn everything went smoothly. Aurelio and his assistant returned the next morning in the snow to complete the last section of lawn. A true professional goes that extra mile for his customers."

"Mario and Ludwin are reliable and hard working. I hired them for a major backyard redesign and upgrade. They did a great job by laying new lawn pods to replace damaged grass. They also planted new shrubs and trees and redesigned sections of the yard to improve several rock gardens. I would hire them again."

"I am from out of state staying with my brother who just had a kidney transplant. His yard was terribly overgrown and needed mowed.. Ever's Landscaping was the only company out of a dozen phone calls who agreed to even come take a look at it.. Very professional and did a great job."

"Mark did the best cleanup I've ever seen.  He got all of the leaves and trash out of my yard, and in addition, clipped all of my out  of control bushes and they looked great!  He also put mulch down in a section of my yard which really needed something.  My yard was so clean -- nothing left behind!  One of my neighbors said it all looked so neat.  This is by far  the best cleanup I've ever had.  He will also handle my mowing, etc., this summer. He's a real find!

"They were responsive and did good work. Most of my expectations were met. However, When aerating and overseeding I expected that starter fertilizer was part of the process and price. It wasn't and I wasn't willing to pay any more so I fertilized my lawn myself."

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

St. Augustine is a hardy grass that’s relatively easy to grow, but it requires regular lawn maintenance to stay healthy. It’s best to keep up with a regular fertilization schedule during the growing season, plus a yearly dethatching to help it properly absorb air and moisture. Watering is also important, so be sure to water it enough to keep the soil moist.

Property managers handle maintenance by scheduling routine checks, coordinating repairs promptly, and engaging qualified contractors to maintain property conditions.

Fescue grass is a relatively low-maintenance grass type, meaning it doesn’t require much more attention than regular watering, dethatching, and mowing. Some fescues even grow slowly enough for hard-to-reach areas, particularly those inaccessible by the mower. Following a seasonal maintenance schedule will help your fescue lawn stay green, healthy, and durable for years to come.

Here are some questions you should ask lawn mowing companies before hiring one to service your lawn:

  • How long have you been in business?

  • Are you licensed and fully insured?

  • Do you collect and haul away cut grass or mulch it and leave it behind?

  • Do you provide add-on services other than lawn mowing?

  • Do you plan to use herbicides and pesticides?

  • If I run into an issue with service, what does the resolution process look like?

It’s possible to over-mulch leaves. If the leaf mulch is thick enough that it’s blocking and smothering the grass, that’s a problem. Ideally, you should still be able to see the grass when you’re done mulching to ensure its ability to continue growing. The solution is to make another pass at the top layer of leaf mulch to collect some of the top layer.
