When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming.
We don’t recommend using a tub liner to cover up cracks in a bathtub. Instead, you should repair the cracks yourself if you have the experience or hire a pro. Cracks may seem like small surface imperfections, but they can lead to much larger issues, so repair them as soon as you can.
Roman tubs are very different from ordinary tubs. A Roman tub is typically deeper and broader than a traditional tub, and it's often installed on a custom platform with the faucet positioned on the deck rather than on the wall. Ordinary tubs are more shallow and usually feature built-in shower options.
A chipped bathtub could leak over time if you don’t take care of the issue. A tiny chip isn’t a big deal but may eventually grow into a larger crack.
