"Made an appt. with Castle Rep, James, for 17 windows and vinyl siding. He spent 1 hour talking about how great his company and windows are before finally getting down to the issue. We were told that CASTLE makes and services their own window, with all the best technology and technicians available. The price per window for energy efficient came out to over $1,200 per double-hung window! And since they make their own products, we could not find a way to compare quality and price with other manufacturers. But his per-window price exceeds the average price of $500-700 by A LOT! When we balked, he made a call to his "manager" to see if we qualified for a "special promotional" discount. If we were to commit right there on the spot, we would get an additional 10% off! Still way to high. We said we would think about it (he got sad and snippy), and that we wanted to hear about the vinyl siding quote before we made any decisions. He told us he could not give us a siding quote until his company did an "eagle view" measurement, which would require another appointment! We had no intention of sitting through ANOTHER high-pressure appointment. High pressure, long-drawn out presentation and he would not leave us with anything in writing! No brochures, prices, nothing! He refused to put anything in writing and we could not have a break down of labor and costs. I even asked him if I could have a copyhh of the window warranty and he said "only if you purchase right now." And they did not come prepared with references or previous job locations! When we further researched the company, we found they did make very excellent products, but the #1 complaint was by far that they did not honor their lifetime warranty and that customer service was horrible. In the end, we chose not to do business.."

"The project was completed in a timely fashion and the quality of work was superb. The painters were friendly and hard working. Jason was very helpful throughout the project and very attentive to all aspects of the job. He responded to my project inquiry immediately and came to the house to determine what the project would require. He walked me through all aspects of the job which included a full house power wash, scraping all wooden windows and trim, and then applied two coats of paint . They actually hung some paintings for us because we have like a two-story wall.  We live in a raised ranch, so there?s a big wall that goes from the ground level up to the ceiling of the first floor, along the stairwell, and I wanted a painting hung up at the top of that wall.  And so I called Tom and said well who do you know that can do this and he said well we do that.  I said okay.  So he sent a couple of guys out, not only did they hang the painting, they re-hung paintings that were kind of crooked.  They just took care of hanging things that required going up a ladder, like a two floor ladder, a two-story ladder.  What they did was up a scaffolding and just did it that way, which is not something that a homeowner can do.  I just keep going back to LOPCO for everything.
