"I didn’t just get 1 person, I got 3 working on my projects since he came with his 2 brothers which made the project go much faster. I had an idea about what I wanted but he helped design the deck and added beautiful details to make it look better then I had imagined! They worked straight through the heatwave we unfortunately were hit with right on the dates my deck construction was scheduled for, and though I would have understood if they had said they needed to push back the project until the heat wave broke, they just came earlier in the morning each day to be able to still complete the work within the time I had been told! Very impressive. They also stayed true to the price they originally quoted me even though once getting into to project realized that it was going to take a lot more work since the parts of the old deck which they thought could be reused actually needed to be completely redone from scratch… which they said was not my fault so they were not going to change the jobs cost after it had been agreed to, which I thought was very honorable and refreshing. I am very pleased with the final results and absolutely am happy to suggest them for any deck work you might need. They also cleaned up after themselves and were very attentive to the details I wanted them to match to the original houses look. My home was built in 1880 and I wanted it not to look like a random addition but part of the original plan. They did a great job!"

"I added 650 sq. ft. to my house which included 2 large bedrooms (each with a closet) and a 4-season room. I also added a deck with a slanted roof over the hot tub area. It looks fabulous. Brad Moreau quoted me a price that was within my budget, and he stuck to it. He suggested options that added to the beauty of the project such as a stunning vaulted tongue and groove ceiling and pocket doors for the closets to save space. I was very specific that I needed the project to start in the spring and finish before the cold weather, and he was right on time. He hired sub-contractors for the foundation, heating/cooling, electricity and carpeting, and every one of them did an amazing job in a timely manner. All the workers were pleasant and conscientious about the job. I would definitely recommend hiring Bradford Builders for any construction project, and intend to hire them again in the future for other projects that I have planned."

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. "1) SOS electric arrived 1 hr after my call and identified quickly the small fire at the back of the motor as the cause of dead filtration system of my inground swimming pool. Fire was caused by inproper contacts between the switch and the motor. SOS Electric replaced partially burned contact into proper one and soon filtration system was up and running. 2) Light over garage door didn’t have motion sensor. SOS Electric went to Home Depot and got the new light with motion sensor. Soon it was installed properly, adjusted to optimal sensitivity and works perfectly."

"Fantastically well. Excellent advice on necessary materials and timeline for the work. Skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. Was able to adapt to unexpected situation when the floor needed to be bolstered unexpectedly without significantly adding to the project timeline. Made valuable suggestions addressing the cost of different options and the available budget, so the final product was within my cost range, but if higher quality than I thought we could afford. Would absolutely hire again."

"Everything went great, there were a couple changes that had to be made as the job progressed, we found out the old toilet had been leaking pretty badly, and there was a bunch of rotting floor boards.  Other than that they completed the job within our time frame, cleaned the house up at the end of each day very well, and really treated our home like it was theirs.  Everything was sealed up with plastic barriers so we wouldn't get dust throughout the house, I was very pleased about that.  We plan to have them back in the next year or two for the kitchen.

"Not only did Ethan and his team solve our drainage/flooding problem, they made our backyard look BEAUTIFUL! Ethan met with me several times leading up to this work and was always thoughtful and generous with his time. He and his team (two other guys worked on the project with him) are enormously courteous, friendly, and professional and respectful of one another (nice collegiality). As our neighbors were allowing us to use their driveway for access to their backyard, it was important that their space be well cared-for. They were totally conscientious and cleaned their driveway at the end of every day; the workspace was always tidy. They completed this job, even with the intense heat, in less than a week. Ethan really has a gift for working with the natural attributes of a space to make it more beautiful and cohesive. He is very knowledgeable about plants, habitats, and plant care. I didn’t imagine our backyard would look so beautiful and feel so inviting. It was neat to see the guys get excited about things, too. For example, they had to jackhammer through a 14 inch slab of stone to install the French drain and Ethan found that it was beautiful Holyoke mountain range red stone. They used pieces of the stone to make a rock feature that we love. I will absolutely work with Ethan’s Eden again for future landscaping work."
