"Wilson brothers came out to look at the project and provide a bid. They scheduled the inspection with little delay and arrived on time. The man who came was friendly but was very critical of the duct work in my home, which had been installed in a major renovation two years prior by a different company. I'll describe that impact below. He went away promising to provide a bid in two days' time. A week later, I still hadn't heard word and contacted the company. They replied that they would not be able to provide a cost estimate as they were too busy to do the work for several months' time. They indicated that my project was more involved than most A/C installations and for that reason they were choosing not to bid during their high volume time. I was appreciative that they didn't string me along, though frustrated to have to wait a week and then get this answer. The conversation about my previous duct-work project was also worrisome. He described it as an unprofessional job and claimed that it was not up to the building code. The new ducts were flexible, insulated ducts which he stated the code did not permit beyond a run of 12 feet. (Many were much longer than this.) He also pointed out half a dozen places where he believed the ducts had been kinked due to a tight bend. This information obviously led to quite a bit of concern on my part, as well as surprise due to the good heating performance after the previous renovation. I both called the previous contractor and researched the building code on my own. I learned that the Wilson Bros. estimator was incorrect about the building code: flexible *connectors* are limited to 12 feet in length; flexible *ducts* such as what I had are not length-limited. Additionally, all but one of the ducts he had claimed were kinked were not -- the insulation was pinched, but the duct itself was not deformed. The previous contractor noted one kinked duct that they replaced. My suspicion is that the technician does not work with flexible ducts and this led to the competing information. I appreciated the information and it did lead to the repair of one kinked duct. I also appreciated the honesty regarding their ability to do the work in a timely manner, though I would have liked better communication on the topic rather than my having to chase them down."
Three of the five heads are marked by the numbers in the blue circle. On the inside of the house is where you will find the mounted units. The slim ducts run alongside the white arrows and will eventually be covered to match the exterior of the house.
The slim ducts in the basement ceiling that connect from the branch box all the way to the 5 different heating and cooling units. These will be covered by the ceiling tiles once the job is finished.

"My Central AC unit went out; the box outside smelled like something had fried. I called NETR, and they said they would send a technican over in a week. The technician came on time and promptly inspected the unit. He reported that the capacitor had blown, and told me that he had a spare back in his van. The labor was covered by the diagnostic site visit fee, it was just the parts cost. I told him to proceed and he replaced it. My AC was back up and running within the hour."

"He responded to my e mail immediately. H e was on time to view the suite and decide what equipment he would need. He explained what he would have to do to install the fan. he also communicated nicely with Jacuzzi about the project I would have him do any project that needed to be done. Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Ceiling fans can be a great way to cool your home without the expensive utility bill of running an air conditioner. Plus, ceiling fans can sometimes run in both directions, pushing hot air down in winter and pulling cold air up in summer. With that said, air conditioning might be the only thing that helps if you live in a very warm climate.

There are several telltale signs to let you know that your ceiling fan needs servicing or replacement. For instance, if it’s wobbling, rotating too slowly, or if your ceiling fan is making noise such as squeaks, buzzes, and thumps, it’s time to have it looked at by a professional. Not only may it indicate a potential problem with the fan itself, but it could also signal a red flag that it’s improperly assembled or there’s an issue with the wiring.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where a standard light fixture is, as the electrical wiring is often similar and may not need to be replaced. The most important step is to ensure the ceiling can support the fan's weight and motion. You will need to replace the existing light fixture's electrical box with a fan-rated electrical box, which is specifically designed to handle the extra weight and vibration. These boxes will be labeled as suitable for ceiling fan support and will indicate the maximum weight they can hold. Before you begin, also consider if you need an extension rod for a high ceiling or a special mount for an angled ceiling.

The most efficient ceiling fan height is 8 to 9 feet from the floor to the fan blades. For ceilings higher than 9 feet, a downrod can be used to lower the fan to the optimal height. This positioning ensures adequate air circulation and maximizes the cooling effect. Remember, fans should be installed at least 7 feet above the floor for safety.

If you’re removing a ceiling fan without visible screws, start by locating the fan canopy—a round cover placed above the fan blades and motor. There should be a thin ring that can be turned counterclockwise to remove the canopy and reveal the screws. After unscrewing the fan, you can disconnect the wires and remove the entire fan from the mounting hardware. For safety, make sure the fan switch is turned off before you remove the canopy. It may be easier to remove the fan blades first, too.
