Hi, my name is Edeline Sinigur. I started this construction business a couple years back but i’m looking to grow and find more opportunities. We’ve done new construction, and remodels all over the place. We also have an on board designer that you will work with throughout the process!

"George and Alex went out of their way to be flexible, professional and customer oriented.  They worked around my schedule and were able to complete my project in a timely manner.  They always showed up on time and made sure the house was cleaner than they left it.  George took the time to consult with us on our wants and needs and didn't try to tack on unnecessary extras.  They made sure to design the layout of the new lights for maximum appeal.

"Everything turned out fine. When it first arrived, it was damaged in the shipping. It took them quite a while to get something back to us, or even to call me back when I wrote to them. But then, once they got the ball rolling, it went very quickly. It took them probably about a month to even get back to me. The price was very good. Once somebody actually did speak with me, they were very responsive. They were pretty professional when I spoke to them. I just think that they were light on manpower."

"George was responsive and direct.  He is busy so we waited a month for our appointment but that is to be expected and was not a problem.

Installed LED fans and left "regular" switches from old fans instructing us to change them to LED compatible.  After several visits from electricians and visits to lighting stores we learned that regardless of the switches, these fans could not be put on a dimmer, made a loud humming sound, gave off an ugly green/yellow dim light and the fan only worked at one speed - we needed new fans.

With the help and guidance (and expense) of another electrician, we purchased new fans and switches that are PERFECT and I am so happy with them.  If we had just left the original work, I really was beginning to hate the upstairs of my home..."

"Janice was on time for our 90 minute consult.  We discussed where new ceiling lights should go, that I should paint every inch of wood , baseboards, doors, window trim on the first floor with the 1 color she showed me, she showed me the 1 color that we should use on every wall on the entire first floor, said to carpet the stairs to the second floor,   and she appeared to be ready to leave after 1 hour.

She was very nice, but I got the impression both of us felt rushed because she is a decorator and our home is in a state of transition- far from the point of hanging pictures, curtains, picking out types of furniture and so on.  I am fairly sure that if I were at the decorating phase though, and if she could have focused on decorating 1 room, she would shine and make it beautiful.

She did leave after 75 minutes, saying she had another appointment and I thanked her for her time and she left. On her way out she was happily surprised to have me open  a door off our kitchen leading to the front door.  She said we should leave that door open, that it improved the flow.  She is an experienced decorator but unfamiliar with the Garrison Colonial floor plan I guess.

When I am ready to decorate, I will consider her again,  as she was professional and friendly."

"We recently remodeled our 1960s kitchen and wanted to work with a local kitchen center that offered high quality semi-custom cabinetry.  Since Kitchen Center carried Brookhaven by Wood-Mode cabinetry and were only 15 minutes from our house, we decided to give them a visit.  We set up an appointment with Sara to discuss our kitchen project and got things kicked off right away.  We visited Kitchen Center a couple more times to work with Sara on the design (we already had a layout in mind and she helped us tweak to optimize the space) as well as selecting our cabinets and hardware.
Sara was great to work with - pleasant and precise - two requirements for a kitchen cabinet purchase.   She also recommended a couple contractors that she'd worked with in the past, which ensured we had a flawless experience all around.  After the installation, Sara stopped by to make sure everything was right - great customer service! Overall, our experience with Sara and the Kitchen Center was seamless, high quality and still relatively affordable.  I would recommend them to anyone working on a kitchen remodel."

"Overall I am very happy with Craig's work. My bathroom was stuck in the 1960s, and desperately needed an update and modernization. I found Craig here on Angie's list, and was glad I was able to connect with him on this project; my wife and I have some design sense, and I have a construction background so generally know what goes into this, but Craig was especially helpful in pulling together some of the design elements we were open minded or unsure about. We started the project in spring 2018, and the hitch is that my wife was pregnant and expecting late in the summer, and the bathroom was our only full bath in the house. So getting the construction done as quickly as possible was important. In addition to the great design, Craig was able to refer us to a contractor that was available and could do the work in the window of time before baby came. Overall, that contractor did a good job. As far as the design itself, it turned out great. It was a little more complicated than a standard bathroom remodel, since we also took part of another adjacent room to pull into the bathroom and make it bigger to add a standalone shower. The design that Craig came up with perfectly matched our vision of a modern but not too sleek look that is spa like, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional. Working with Craig was great as he has a great design sense. In some cases we had ideas about what we want but needed it fleshed out more; in other cases, we didn't know what we wanted and let him run with the design - this collaborative process turned out to work great. There were a number of times where we sat down with him side by side and looked at fixtures and lighting options, and he was able to help us pick out the perfect pieces for the space; in other cases, he came to us with just a few options and had us choose between those. As we were more interested in having our dream bathroom, we ended up dramatically busting our 'budget' with high end fixtures and features; but even though we will be taking a bit longer to pay it off, we are very happy with everything - you can only do it once! Craig is a really nice guy, and very responsive to our needs. My only minor criticism is that there could have been better communication between Craig and the contractor at times that would have sped up completion of the project a little bit or made things a little easier. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Craig for your project design!"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.

Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.

Installing outdoor lighting can increase your home’s value by up to $2,500. The average ROI on landscape lighting is around 50%, but how much your home increases depends on the market, the type of lighting, and whether you have a strong strategy for your landscaping lighting project. LED and solar lighting may offer the highest ROIs.

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.

It’s fair to be concerned about handling pool lights or wiring in a pool filled with water. But fortunately, pool lights and swimming pools are designed to make it easy and safe to replace the lights without needing to drain the water. Instead, you can turn off the electricity to the pool as a safety precaution, unscrew the pool fixture, pull it up and out to the side of the pool, then change the bulb.

It’s not illegal to fly an American flag at night without a light shining on it, but the U.S. Flag Code notes that it’s respectful to provide illumination. Installing a flagpole light is also common practice and will add more to your home’s curb appeal at night. Choosing a solar-powered or battery-powered light for your flag is an affordable way to provide illumination.
