"I am an avowed DIY-er, but I know my limitations ! In our version of "This Old House", our recent purchase of a 1910 home was in desperate need of new windows. The quotation appointment was prompt, on-time, with options offered for different grade of replacements and features. The price seemed fair (not a bargain basement offer, and VERY far from the 'ridiculous' numbers always put out by an un-named famous national chain). The expectations for installation date range were clearly set (as we all know some of the supply chain challenges we are all currently living with). Installation date was arranged, once they had the units from their supplier. Friendly reminder call the day before, crew of 2 showed up exactly on time, and the work was efficiently and professionally executed. 15 replacements completed on 1st day, and 2 more days (per plan) to complete to work for installing 2 brand new openings for 2 additional windows. Only a few days in, so far - but we could NOT be happier. The work was completed with craftsmanship (see below, as a portion of the work was more than just installing replacements)."

He left us with three different patches of film on our window for a week so we can make a decision based on what kind of light and how it looks with different weather patterns. We hired him to replace an old back door and then brought him back to replace a rotted basement window and dryer vent, and then again for a larger project to replace our bulkhead doors and stairs to the basement. He actually built the doors himself because the odd opening size wouldn’t work with any off the shelf solutions. All 3 jobs were challenging due to our home being old and irregular, but Bob was extremely thorough in his evaluation of the conditions and very thoughtful with his recommendations. When unexpected existing conditions came up he communicated them very well to us, along with a plan to address them. We had a budget and Bob worked with us to determine the best approach we could afford. The work itself was very thorough and done with care, we’re sure it will last a long long time. "We originally hired Chris to install replacement windows. We were extremely please with the job he did and because of that experience we decided to use Chris to paint the outside of our home. We were looking for someone who could both do carpentry and paint because we did not want to have to go through the trouble of using multiple contractors. Chris did an outstanding job on the project. He found that there was extensive damage to the trim and had to replace and repair much more than originally anticipated. He fixed all of the problems that he saw, including many that were out of the scope of the contract. His workmanship is excellent and he took the time to make sure that everything was done right. On the staining he used a combination of spray with brush over. This required extra prep work to cover all of the windows but resulted in excellent coverage and penetration. We have been in the house for over 30 years and can honestly say that this is the best paint job we have had. On top of the outstanding craftsmanship , Chris is very easy to work with. He is an extremely hard worker, he is very respectful and courteous. He took extra time to explain things and to make sure that we were comfortable with everything he was doing. When he was done he cleaned everything up and removed all of the debris. We will definitely use Chris for other projects and would highly recommend him for any painting or remodeling project."
