"With the latest job John and his team completed for us, I am now able to say that for the better part of two decades, the electrical work needs of four generations of my family have been completed by 4th Generation Electric. As John and I were catching up before the install of our transfer switch and generator hook up, he recalled when we first met almost 20 years ago. From that time forward, he and his teams have completed work for my family that spanned from outlet installation and replacement, wiring our full new build construction home, inclusive of aiding with the installation of the power line from the street (which was 700 feet away from the house), outside patio electrical work for an elaborate tiered landscape, generator hook up requirements, among other things. Just as our electrical needs grew over time, and John and 4th Generation Electric have as well, the same level of attention to detail, focus on customer satisfaction, and not only the desire to strive for perfection but the expectation to do so, has been the standard that he knows not only his customers expect but that he expects for himself and his teams. "Terrible customer service He created giant messes and lied to me on multiple occasions. I will say anything to get the project and not actually answer questions. When they came to give the quote, I asked them where they would put the heat pump and I said behind the house, but when they went to install it, it would not fit behind the house according to code. I constantly had to hound them to finish the job. They started in the spring, and then they did not finish until the winter, after saying they could start in 2 weeks. They left me without heat on below-freezing days because they were not finished. They did not honor parts of the contract. charged for service even though the contract says it is free for 3 years. They tried to charge me for things they did not install(humidifier). Installed the ventilation system over some sill rot. I left gaping holes in my home for months. I had to hound them every step of the way to get them to do the next part of the project. They were replacing propane and oil with gas and did not tell me I had to remove the propane to do so, and then the town would not permit their work and I had to pay out of pocket for more conversions. I had to hound them to get permits, including an oil tank removal permit, which they never pulled and I still do not have! The end result was an expensive system that I think is misconfigured and ill-fitting for my home (it does not remove humidity properly). If you would like to do the project management yourself, hire this company. That said, there was one very nice technician, but I would not have them install anything."
