"Five stars are simply not enough to express my satisfaction with the service provided by Reliable Plumbing. After multiple other companies failed me, their team quickly and professionally solved my drain clog issue, and supplied and installed my new tankless water heater. The technician was was knowledgeable, courteous, and explained everything throughout the process, and I love that they are a family owned business. To top it all off, their prices beat other companies I had to deal with. Thank you Reliable Plumbing. I don't have enough words to express my appreciation. I gained a forever plumbing company!"

"I called three plumbers from Angies list.
All three called back.  I told all three that  I had called three plumbers, and was asking for a fixed price proposal.
After I described the the job (need new water heater), all three said they would call back after checking prices.
Two did not call back.
Rick Carmouche of Rick's plumbing called back promptly.
He made a slight rearrangement in his schedule so he could come by and look at the job, and arrived shortly thereafter.
He checked the old heater, looked at the old installation, and gave me  a detailed written fixed price proposal that included adding gas and water cut-off valves, and increasing the size of the temperature-pressure relief valve drain line.
I told him I would wait to hear from the other two plumbers I called. He said that was fair, and went on his way.
The other two shops never called back after the first conversation.
I called Ricky Carmouche, and accepted his proposal.
He said he would be at my house the next morning at a certain time.
He arrived on time the next day.  He had all the materials and tools he needed on his truck.
He did exactly what he said he would do.
He did it quickly and well.
His price was as quoted.
In the course of going his work, he protected our floors from damage and was careful not to cause any other problems.
Before he left, he removed all packing and other work debris from our place, mopped and vacuumed as needed, loaded everything back on his truck (including the old heater), and went to the next job.
When he was done, the new water heater, and hot water in the taps, was the only evidence he had been here.
After fiddling the thermostat to our liking, we have had no problems with the new heater.
Besides the above, Ricky is a very pleasant person to deal with."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

A bit of water in the bowl can help unclog a toilet, especially if you're using a plunger. However, if the bowl is full to the brim, you'll need to strap on gloves and remove some of the wastewater in a cup or container so it doesn't overflow when you try to unblock the pipe. If you're concerned about it filling further, manually close the flapper in the toilet tank or turn off the water supply to the toilet.

Bleach is generally not recommended for your shower drains. Although diluted bleach can technically help clean your drain, it will not unclog your pipes. In fact, bleach can harm your plumbing system because it’s so powerful. The bleach can change the color of your sink and even corrode metal pipes and fittings.

Often, people reach for bleach because it's already in their house. But it's worth getting a plunger or a drain snake for the job instead. It'll be a lot less money to buy a new plunger than to pay a plumber to repair or replace damaged pipes.

That pungent rotten egg smell coming from your drain is likely the buildup of biofilm—hair, skin, and soap scum that turns into a black sticky mess. In this case, pouring down near-boiling water, baking soda, and white vinegar will remove the smell. Keep in mind that a rotten egg smell is occasionally a sign of larger sewage line clogs and other related issues.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.
