"Following Hurricane Ida, we had damage to our patio that Professional patio had previously installed. Following the loss, we contact them and decided to have our patio enclosed and repaired. The cost was over 20k for all work. In October 2021 we were told parts were ordered. For nearly a year and with almost no communication we waited for install and repair. Finally in August 2022 we had our patio repaired and enclosed. After completion, the install crew had failed to protect the floor leaving stains on the concrete, they cracked a window on installing, and the chalk was separating. They have since failed to repair any of these issues and keep delaying a solve to our issue. We are now filing a complaint with the BBB."

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Mudjacking normally takes between one to three days to dry completely. The larger the project area, the more time it will take to dry. You should not walk on the concrete or place furniture or vehicles on the lifted concrete until it’s completely cured, which a pro can help determine. If you’re polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can take just a few minutes to dry, but wait an hour to be sure.

Mudjacking restores level surfaces, prevents further damage, and is more cost-effective than a full replacement.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with.
