"Being seniors we can no longer do the little or big things that go with home maintenance. We contacted "OUR NEW HANDYMAN " for several projects around the house, Dryer vents cleanout, custom made me a AC window unit brace, my husband is pretty much bedbound and has different temperature needs sometimes. He pulled out my fridge vacuum behind. Also turned our king size bed . Fixed a sagging porch ceiling . He was great. Looked around and noticed that a LED light fixture is going down, and will be back to replace. A great guy, left everything in good shape, cleaned everything up. Felt safe with him in my house an important thing for seniors. Highly recommend him."

"The installs were quick and efficient.  The ceiling fan was installed without any problems.  The back door install ran into some delay.  The old light had a square base and was installed over a round outlet box.  Removing the sealer was a major delay.  The front light was not a problem at all.

Throughout the entire process, they were professional and efficient.  I would and have used them for other projects"

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"

"They did a great job and and at a very reasonable rate. When they unable to replace two ceiling fans due to the construction setup of the present ceiling fans they reduced the amount of the invoice even though they worked several hours trying to make it work. Will diffently hire again."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

Yes, you can install a ceiling fan where a standard light fixture is, as the electrical wiring is often similar and may not need to be replaced. The most important step is to ensure the ceiling can support the fan's weight and motion. You will need to replace the existing light fixture's electrical box with a fan-rated electrical box, which is specifically designed to handle the extra weight and vibration. These boxes will be labeled as suitable for ceiling fan support and will indicate the maximum weight they can hold. Before you begin, also consider if you need an extension rod for a high ceiling or a special mount for an angled ceiling.

There are many types of ceiling fans, from self-automated smart ceiling fans to outdoor ceiling fans that provide additional comfort to your patio. What you choose all comes down to function and personal taste.

Consider your ceiling height when selecting a ceiling fan. Rooms with ceilings under eight feet high will do well with low-profile ceiling fans, also known as flush-mount or hugger ceiling fans. If your home has cathedral ceilings or ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, you’ll need a large ceiling fan with a heavy-duty motor to get adequate air circulation.

The direction your ceiling fan spins helps create comfortable airflow in your home and can also help cut down on energy costs.

During summer, your ceiling fan should spin counterclockwise. This will push cooler air downward in a column and help lower your room’s air temperature. In the winter, set your ceiling fan to spin clockwise and at the lowest speed setting. This will pull cool air upwards, displacing the warm air that pools towards the top of your ceiling and bringing it down towards the floor.

There are several telltale signs to let you know that your ceiling fan needs servicing or replacement. For instance, if it’s wobbling, rotating too slowly, or if your ceiling fan is making noise such as squeaks, buzzes, and thumps, it’s time to have it looked at by a professional. Not only may it indicate a potential problem with the fan itself, but it could also signal a red flag that it’s improperly assembled or there’s an issue with the wiring.
