Thomas came out the following day, assessed the situation, gave us a fair price and scheduled the work for early the next week. He realized that our tree was badly damaged and could pose a hazard, so he re-arranged his schedule to give us priority. In the meantime, we decided that another of our large trees really needed to be removed, as well, so we called him back and he gave us a fair price for removal of the second tree, as well. He came out when he said he would, emailed us pictures of the progress while we were at work, called several times to communicate what was going on, and followed up with us that evening to make sure the work was satisfactory.
