"Brunson Electric were very professional and told me exactly what they were going to replace under my house. They had already inspected and reported rodent chewing on my electric wiring (one place down to the core). Now I am continuing the rat bait I have put out and getting someone to close any entries to the bottom of my house to keep the squirrels out. I have skirting around a log home and love my home and don't want a fire to start. The Brunson Co. did what was to be expected from electricians that know what they are doing."

If there isn’t a C-wire on your thermostat, you can repurpose the G-wire. The G-wire controls the fan independently of the other controls on your thermostat, so the fan-only function won’t work if you decide to go this route.

The color code for the common sprinkler wire is white, and then you can assign the remaining color codes to the rest of the wires for different sprinkler zones. For example, you could use red for the first zone, then blue for the second, and so on.

Color-coding helps you keep track of which wires go to specific zones so that you or a pro can address any issues or repairs quickly. Check your local electrical code for any requirements regarding sprinkler wire colors.

If the fan doesn’t have a switch, connect the white wire from the ceiling to the white wire from the fan; connect the green wire to the ground wire; connect both black wires; and connect both blue wires.
