"It was fine.  Everything seems to be working out pretty well.  The service appointment went well.  We’re pretty pleased.  We were under construction and so we had to schedule the install based on a certain percentage of the completion of our house.  We pay a monthly service fee but we don’t think there were any additional fees.  It’s been a while since we had a service appointment and so we don’t remember.  There was just one person that came out we think.  He was actually very early which did not really quite work.  It was inconvenient because we weren’t there to accommodate him.  He was extremely knowledgeable with the install though.  He’s been in the business for a long time.  We have had an issue with one of our construction workers who had thrown out one of our contact points for one of our windows.  So we didn’t have any issues with getting that resolved.  We’ve been pretty pleased with dealing with this particular company.  We think their price was average. The deal on the install or purchase of the equipment came in very handy.  We’re pretty sure that the prices with some of the other units for a comparable service are much more expensive.  So we think the deal was a really good value.  We’re having some issues with the 3.58and we need to ask somebody back out to look at it, because it keeps beeping and so we can figure what’s wrong with it.  We would surely use them again in the future."

"The appt was set up, they called to verify time the day before. The installer arrived on time, told me about how long it would take, told me the steps he would take. . We discussed where the disk would be located. We discussed where I wanted the cable to come through through the wall or the floor, where I wanted my computer locainstallation went smoothly. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Nice installer, but he talked too fast as did my neighbor, in explaining codes and passwords, so my notes are not good enough for me to remember correctly. I'm worried I may do something wrong in using the alarm and have the police show up. The company sign out front looks good and my windows and doors are well marked. I called the company about something else, and got the idea the idea they would not be able to help me with this. So....take good notes and make them slow down with explanations."
