"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"I checked other movers and the prices were about the same.  The reason i picked movers with class was because my friend had used them about a year ago and she was very pleased.  The week had been so stressful i had bad thoughts about something going wrong.  Mr. stephen had assured methey were going to make this pleasant and safe and nothing would be damaged.  His workers knew exactly how to move my furniture through tight corners and they were very skilled moving my things. When i move again Im gonna use movers with class and i recommend everyone do the same.  after i seen the job completed i would have paid more for their way of conducting themselves. I was impressed with the communication within the men.

Moving questions, answered by experts

It’s best to pack things that are in storage and non-essential items first. Start by packing up items you are taking from your storage unit, garage or shed, basement, and attic. You should wait to pack essential items such as toiletries and medications last.

You can purchase moving straps online or at a moving supply store, typically costing between $25 to $40. Shoulder moving straps for two people cost around $40, while forearm moving straps for two people cost around $30. Shoulder straps for one person cost about $30.

It is helpful for safety reasons to pack knives in their own box and clearly label them. This way, movers can take extra caution when moving these boxes and pack them in the moving truck accordingly. Plus, it will remind you to use extra caution when unpacking that box in your new kitchen.

Yes, it’s possible, but it’s important to be extremely careful, and always remove rocks and heavier hardscape items. Drain all the water from the tank, leaving just enough to keep the gravel slightly submerged to keep your bacteria alive. Then, grab a helper or two and carefully lift the tank from either side, supporting the bottom and keeping it level. If the tank is especially heavy, consider slipping plywood underneath to minimize pressure on the glass. Be sure to pack it so it stays level and doesn’t shift during transit.

You should consider hiring professional movers for moves that seem too daunting, dangerous, or involve large, heavy objects. The larger your home and the longer the distance, the more likely you are to need professional help. A moving service can take the hardest tasks off your plate and reduce the risk of personal injury. However, if you are only moving a few light items, you can save money by moving on your own and renting a truck. Keep in mind that a DIY move requires significant planning and time. A hybrid option is also available, where you hire movers just to lift and transport heavy items to your vehicle.
