"Additional work was needed after this patio roof was found to have been only nailed to the main structure’s roof, not screwed. Allied identified the problem, quoted repair, completed the work, and checked and rechecked for quality. We are very satisfied with their attention, promptness, consideration, thoroughness, and professionalism."

"I am always wary when dealing with the building trades. I used Malcolm Adams Roofing a few weeks ago and I have to say the company is top-notch. Malcolm Adams Roofing repaired a house roof for me which was in pretty bad shape. Rotten wood everywhere. Malcolm Adams himself handled the quote and oversaw the work. The job turned out perfect. The roofing and deck is like new. No more leaks. All debris was picked up and removed. Mr. Adams is a true professional. Very straightforward. We could not be more pleased. We can recommend Mr. Adams and his company, without hesitation."

Customers say: Quality work

"Mr Franklin Salgado is very professional. I had a leak in my roof. He checked the point of entry in the attic. Then he inspected the entire roof and found a nail hole. Not only did he make the repair but he also caulked around all vent pipes. He noticed a gutter that was holding water. I ask if he could make the adjustment on it and he did. Price for work was very reasonable. I will definitely call him for any of my roofing needs."

"The owner was very prompt in calling and showed up late in the day to inspect the bathroom ceiling and located the problem after checking the fan cover on the roof. Mr. Bruce returned the next day to complete the job. He also suggested we replace the cover for the other fan cover and three boots, which we did as part of our maintenance effort. We recommend Brice Roofing for others to call upon and seek his services."

"Exceptional experience from start to finish!” Roof Gecko went above and beyond replacing my roof. The communication was outstanding — I always knew what was happening and when. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, and left my property cleaner than when they arrived. The quality of the installation is top-notch, and you can tell they truly care about their work. I also appreciated how professional and friendly everyone was throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for a company that’s honest, reliable, and delivers excellent workmanship, Roof Gecko is the one to call. Highly recommend!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Green roofs are incredibly long-lasting. Some have life spans of up to 40 or 50 years. Since the roofs help to protect the rest of your home's roofing system, they can also extend the life of your existing roof.

Regular maintenance and inspections will help you get the most out of your green roof and ensure it lasts as long as possible.

Asphalt roofs provide better insulation than metal roofs, but that doesn’t always mean that asphalt roofs are better for reducing heating and cooling bills. In hotter climates, metal roofs will usually be better for home efficiency because the material reflects more sunlight and reduces solar heat gain. In colder climates, asphalt roofs are sometimes superior in terms of efficiency because they introduce more solar heat gain to your home and have greater insulating capabilities. However, metal roofs installed with an air gap can provide similar levels of insulation.

Ensures precision fitting, optimizing durability and efficiency against weather elements.

Thatched roofs last for between 30 and 50 years in most cases, which is longer than most asphalt roofs. However, getting that life span from your thatched roof requires more maintenance than you’d need for most other materials, including fireproofing, brushing, cleaning, and rethatching as the material gets worn down. You’ll also need routine inspections to ensure you’re not at risk of leaks.

You cannot replace granules that have been lost off shingles. The granule embedding process is part of shingle manufacturing, and once the bond holding the granules to the shingles has been lost, the granules are gone for good. Shingles with granule loss must be fully replaced to continue offering adequate protection.
