"AA Air Duct Cleaning and Installation did an excellent job. They cleaned the 12 units of our condominium in a professional manner. "I've tried Merry Maids, and many others. This is the only cleaning service that just knocks my socks off every time. My baseboards, the creases on the doors, the window sills, my shutters.... I could go on and on. I took my mother out of a nursing home and I still work. I've done some superficial cleaning in the past year, but things were getting funky deep down. I'm so happy. I don't even know how they approached cleaning my nasty toaster oven but they did. I've probably been saved from a crumb fire! Don't even get me started on the fridge. I can have people over again and not feel ashamed. Ok, my mother did see a fuzz ball in the air conditioning vent. I really needed to change the filter!"

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It depends on the surface you’re trying to clean. For example, a mixture of vinegar and water is a good option for a deep cleaning, including removing hard water stains from glass or stainless steel. However, vinegar is too acidic for granite and other types of natural stone, so it’s better to use a combination of baking soda and water on those surfaces.

Trash cans are some of the most likely areas in your home to harbor bacteria, insects, and foul odors, so you should plan on spot cleaning once a week and disinfecting and deep cleaning at least once per month. Doing so will help reduce the risk of mold growth, help prevent attracting insects into your home, and aid in eliminating unpleasant odors in your home. Add the task to your routine house cleaning checklist to make sure you don’t forget.

Cleaning floors is a relatively easy DIY job, but paying for a professional cleaning service is worthwhile if you don’t have the time to dedicate to cleaning or if you have particularly dirty floors, deep-set stains, or wooden floors that you might damage during the cleaning process. A professional house cleaner will have the tools and experience necessary to remove dirt, pet hair, debris, and even stains and discoloration from your floors without damaging them. The service is also relatively affordable, making it a great investment if you don’t have the time or tools to do it yourself.

You should hire a leaf removal company if you don’t have the time or tools to keep up with the leaves falling in your yard. Hiring leaf removal professionals will free up your time to take care of other household priorities, plus they will clear your lawn more quickly and efficiently than using DIY methods. Be sure to contact leaf removal companies at the end of summer to secure a scheduled visit in the fall, and shop around to get a few estimates and compare pricing.

Yes, you can use baking soda to clean your water dispenser. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one quart of warm water, then use a sponge or cloth to wipe the solution on the inside and outside of the dispenser. For tougher stains and grime, you can also make a lightly abrasive paste of one part baking soda and one part water to gently scrub tougher areas. Then rinse the dispenser with water.
