"We hired this company to regrade our lot to help with drainage. Bradley did a great job. Our culvert drains needed repairs as well a sink holes that developed around the drains and culverts. Bradley and his crew fixed it all. His quote was very reasonable."

"I would highly recommend JCT solutions. We had a room replastered and a new attic access installed. JCT were great at communicating from the beginning and throughout the project. Mark is professional and they are reasonably priced. The plastering team were efficient, worked well together and cleaned up after the project was completed. We are really happy with the end result and would work with Mark and JCT solutions again! Thank you for making our spare room usable again!!"

"Rick came in a timely manner. There was lots of water standing on sidewalk, mostly from the heavy downpour of rain that happened yesterday. The water meteor was completely immersed. The problem was water had been standing on the sidewalk even when there was no rain. After some digging and me giving information about the drain pipe running from the back yard, Rick discovered that the drain running to the sidewalk, which was hidden by the grass, was clogged with mud. Rick assured me if there was another problem after unplugging the drain pipe that I could call him back. I thought the charge was reasonable for the amount of time and labor he spent to find the cause. I recommend Rick's plumbing and will call him back for any future plumbing issues.

"Hurricane Drain Company called me minutes after purchasing a coupon from Angie's List. They asked me the best time to schedule, the plumber showed up, on time and professional. Nicely done, simple as that.

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a well-maintained sump pump can increase a home's value and make it more desirable to potential buyers; it does not lower property value. By protecting the basement from flooding and water damage, a sump pump provides peace of mind and can make the space usable for storage or as an extra room. For buyers interested in homes with basements, a working sump pump is a significant feature that adds value by ensuring the space is secure and less likely to flood.

If the time has come to install a French drain in your yard, basement, or crawl space, there's a solid chance you've been battling water damage—or the threat of water damage—around these areas. Thankfully, proper drainage should allow you to redesign these areas of your home without the fear of being inundated during the next storm. If you've had to remove a portion of your lawn for an exterior French or curtain drain, consider reseeding your lawn to patch up the spot. You can also take this opportunity to enhance your foundation waterproofing methods or even start thinking about finishing your basement .

Yes, you can finish a basement that leaks, as long as you address the leak first. Before finishing a basement, you’ll need to repair any cracks in the walls and waterproof the basement to prevent future leaks. It’s much harder to clean up a water leak from a finished basement than an unfinished one, so preemptively addressing any leaking areas prevents expensive repairs in the future.

If you hire a professional, installing a new sewage ejector pump costs $850 to $3,500, or an average of $2,300. Otherwise, if you handle the installation yourself, you can expect to pay $500 to $1,000 for the sewage ejector pump, permits, and other supplies required for this DIY project.

It depends on what caused your basement flooding, the extent of the problem, and the risk of the flood continuing. If your flood is coming from a septic system or sewer line, breathing in the sewer gasses can be dangerous, so you should vacate. If the flood occurs from an ongoing natural disaster, relocating to a safe area might be wise. If you just have a plumbing leak or rainwater coming in, you can likely stay in the house if you don’t have electrical lines down there, but make sure you call in professionals to fix the issue immediately.
