We are a local company that centers our services around work that we can do with a tractor. The reason for this is a tractor is a platform that we can provide a wide range of services from. A lot of our work comes from the tree service industry. We can have a tree taken down, grind the stump, haul off the tree, and the debris from the stump. When the Job is all done we can have a load of dirt hauled in to fill in the stump hole and any holes in the yard that where incurred in the process. We also provide many other services such as land clearing, dirt work, driveways, bush hogging, large area grass cutting, tilling, and more. We are 100% Veteran owned, Insured, and Registered with the State of Louisiana. If you have a question or need a quote please feel free to give us a call 318-613-4554. We accept Cash, Check, Debit and Credit Card payment.

"Was quoted $1400 to remove a good bit of bamboo. I told them I want it rooted and gone not just trimmed down to which he agreed. They were supposed to show up on a Wednesday. Never came. I even texted and got no answer. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it had rained the night before. Had my husband called to which they said they would be out Thursday morning. They showed up Thursday at 3:30pm. Worked for about and hour and a half. At one point they sat in their truck for 30 min. I asked if they would return tomorrow cause I assume they don’t work in the dark. They said they would be back at 8am the next day. They next day they show up at 12:30pm along with the owner who I originally talked to and was quoted the price by. The owner proceeds to tell me that they can’t do the job for the quoted price, he underestimated how big of a job it was and the price was now $3200. I told them I couldn’t pay that right now so he said they would finish up the one area that they had started and remove some debris from my yard for $500. So they did so however they never uprooted the area they cut down. The owner comes to my house around 4:30 in the evening to collect the money. I told him I didn’t pay his guys cause the job wasn’t finished and the roots in that particular area weren’t removed. He then told me that wasn’t part of the price but he would come back Monday and do it for free. To no surprise he never showed up. I would not recommend these people."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Unless there’s some sort of rule in your community’s homeowners’ association that requires you to remove a stump, there’s no law that says you have to take it out. If you’re not wedded to the idea of removing it, there are plenty of ways to get creative with this tree remnant. Using the stump as the medium for a wood carving or turning it into a planter are just two examples of ways to repurpose a tree stump.

You don’t always need a permit to grind a stump, but you might need one depending on your location and the stump’s surroundings. Permits are often needed if the stump is part of a protected tree species, near public areas or utility lines, or close to environmentally sensitive zones like wetlands. Some cities also regulate noise and work hours. Always check local rules before grinding, and contact your city or county office if you're unsure.

It’s usually best to transplant a tree when it’s dormant. For some, the best option is transplanting during fall after the leaves have fallen—October or November. In other cases, it’s best to transplant before new growth begins in the spring, often around March. But avoid transplanting during winter because the soil is harder and colder, and the tree won’t have the same chance to acclimate.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

A dead tree should always be cut down, because it could fall and cause injuries or damage, and it can also attract insects like carpenter ants. A tree that’s diseased beyond repair should also be cut down, but it’s not always easy for a homeowner to tell. Signs of disease include dying branches, a hollow trunk, leaning, and discolored or missing leaves, but your best bet is to hire a local arborist who can evaluate the tree and tell you if it can be saved or should be cut down.
