"Horrible experience. Botched job!! Day one after construction I asked someone to please come look at the job!! Steve blew me off until time to collect final payment. Then tried to tell me it was acceptable job. After two attempts to fix some of the issues. We felt defeated. Then Don Harr called , ask about how it went. He immediately came out to look, after looking the problem was reveled, First, the OSB board was installed wrong, which made everything not line up correctly. He also stated that he had recommended another installer to do our job, He admitting to the fact that Steve was too busy and changed what he had proposed for our job. At that point we threw our hand up ?? What were we to do tear it all off and start over ??? I was lead to believe that Steve was in charge, latter found out we should have called Don from day one. Don was the only truthful one if the bunch!! Even the Window and Gutter installer’s called Steve about the job after they saw the condition ."

"I couldn't be happier with the expertise of my plasterer at Julius Schnurr and Sons. I had a burst pipe behind living room wall in my 1905 house on Cherokee Road. It has a coved ceiling and is quite ornate. The hole was about 10' by 3'. It took John three days to get it perfectly done, (it was just a large hole, no lath or anything) but it is, indeed, perfectly done. There are virtually no true plasterers in Louisville; they are dry wall folks. If you need a plasterer, call Schnurr. Not only are they the experts, they are also very reasonably priced."

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. Yes, it matters which side of drywall you use. One side is smooth, and the other is rough. The smooth side should be facing outward, toward the room, while the rough side should be hidden and facing the studs and framing of the house.
