"We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

Spray foam has superior sealing properties, moisture resistance, and soundproofing capabilities compared to traditional insulation.

Heat lost through uninsulated basement walls can account for up to 30% of the total energy lost through heat transfer to the outdoors. While homes in mild climates won't gain as much benefit from having an insulated basement as those in cold climates, the effects are still noticeable on your energy bill.

The most obvious con of injection foam is the cost. It’s much more expensive to install than fiberglass or spray foam, but it may be your only option (unless you want to remove entire walls around the home). Another con is that it involves drilling into existing material, which has to be repaired after the foam is injected. Some injection foams are made from products that aren’t environmentally friendly, and improper installation can lead to trapped moisture, which can lead to expensive mold remediation down the road. 

High humidity, bad insulation, warmth from sunlight, and poor circulation are all reasons your home’s hotter inside than out. While this is what you want in the colder months, summer can become unbearable if this is a constant. Try to find the cause, but you need to remember that issues like this require a permanent fix (unless you want to bear down during the summer months).
