"From initial phone call to appointment to quote the job To installation, prompt, courteous . One Tech came for quote with my husband different install tech which was ok but had to go over what was discussed in first apt and my husband was not here, outlet put too low But it’s ok. Prices were higher (this is why I am not giving 5 stars) Definitely would recommend & will use ElectricMasters again!"

"The biggest obstacle was scheduling.  The Angie's List confirmation email did not include the instruction to schedule on the Flow-Rite web site.  It took 3 or 4 emails to clarify that which delayed getting the work scheduled.
The replacement parts worked fine with the exception of some excess plastic on the valve which prevented a tight seal and thus lead to a running toilet.  It took a few minutes with the razor blade to cut the excess off and allowed the seal to form properly.  This probably should have been done by the installer.

"I couldn't have been happier. Jason's attention to detail, from painting intricate molding to dealing with electrical issues (the fan), were just part of what makes the kitchen look great. It was such a relief knowing the job was in Jason's hands. He has done work in my house many times and once again he did not disappoint."

"Work went better than expected.  We were always kept informed of when they would be out on the property and what they would be doing that day.  We were always given 30 minutes advanced notice so my husband could drive down to the rental property and let them in.  One unit had tenants so Chuck and his crew always had to clean up on a daily bases.  Tenants were happy with their conscious effort to keep the dust down to a min.
This was the 3rd project we've done using Queen City and crew, and we are very happy with their crews, prices and professionalism.
I recommend this company.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Regularly clean the blades, check for loose screws, and lubricate moving parts to prevent noise and wear.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

Yes, you can lubricate a ceiling fan without taking it apart. Ensure the fan is off and clean any dust around the motor area before lubricating. Apply several drops of machine oil to the top of the motor housing where the shaft enters or via the oil ports if available. Regular lubrication helps maintain smooth operation and reduces noise. If your fan lacks an accessible oil port, it may require disassembly or professional maintenance.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.
