"I have hired David and David Jr. for 2 projects now. And I will be having them back again this springtime. They did an extensive Potager Rose Garden with walk ways of stone, incased in a stone wall with pillars. In the center is a 3 tier water fountain. It turned out exquisite. They helped me design the garden and gave such interesting ideas that I had not thought of. Their work ethic is stellar. They are honest , forthright and fair. And the quality of work is simply exquisite. They found large thick flat stones that were used as steps out of the garden that just added the final touch. Then to my surprise they added out door lighting that at night is just beautiful reflecting off the roses and fountain. They took my dream to the next level. The next project we did a stone walkway, patio and again, the same huge thick stone slabs for steps all the way around the patio. It is stunning . We will be adding a covered pergola to it this spring tying in the front and back yards with the same style and finesse. If you are looking for professionals that you desire to take your project to the next level, and to be fair in price and superb in quality of work, then this is the company for you. You can find workmen, but to find someone with the eye to design according the topography and to capture the esthetic of the house and land is not easy to come by. This spring we will be adding more walkways and extending a stone wall, and building more pillars making entrances to the barn and private drive. I would trust no other company with my property and my visions for this property, after having worked with them. I am assured you will feel the same."

"I hired Phillips Waterproofing and Concrete for a sump pump and moisture panel installation, and it was a complete nightmare. The work was sloppy and unprofessional: the corners of the moisture panels were left curved, concrete wasn?t poured to the walls, and the sump pump pipe was installed in front of my kitchen cabinets with only a thin, choppy, unfinished pour. I paid over $2,000 for them to stain the concrete, but they never completed the job despite multiple scheduled appointments. They now ignore calls and messages entirely, and both the owner, Kevin Phillips, and son Dylan, have full voicemail boxes. To make matters worse, the original problem?backflow in my half bath?was not resolved, and my home flooded again just weeks after their installation. Because of their negligence, I?ve been forced to spend additional money pursuing legal action to get my money returned. They took $11,000 from me, left my home in an unusable state, and provided zero accountability."

"Michael was wonderful! He was reasonable, professional, and performed amazing work. He was flexible and did everything we asked of him while being respectful of our home and of us. I have a young baby and a dog and I felt 100% comfortable with Michael in the house. He was an amazing worker and he has just excelled at every strange project I've given him, no matter how big or small. "David Shephard and his employees installed 2 walkways, a garbage pad and a 35’ x 18’ driveway. His price was less than other contractors bidding on the job. The work was completed satisfactorily on 08/17/2017. We noticed a crack all the way across (18’) the driveway in January 2018. I informed David. After 5 calls, 2 text messages, and 2 visits, he said that section of the driveway would be replaced. Sad to say nothing was done in 2018. He always had a reason; weather, his schedule, his personal problems. I turned the communication over to my husband in 2019. He was called 4 times. On the 4th call on 07/11/2019 David said he had been here to look at the crack again. Don’t know why he didn’t let us know when he came so we could all discuss; or why he didn’t call afterward; or why he needed to see it again. The city had been working on the streets the last time he was here and he said the city probably caused the crack. No David, this is 2019, not 2018 when the crack occurred. By this time we were very frustrated. David didn’t want to be bothered by us or our problem any longer. He stated that concrete cracks. We realize that but within 4 months? He said we were pests. Huh, go figure!! Do your job and honor the contract and you’ll never hear from us again. We asked him to at least fill the crack if he wasn’t going to replace that section. He told us we could buy patch at home improvement stores & repair it ourselves. We originally replaced the driveway due to cracks and now we’re having to live with one which is only getting worse. What good is a 3 year warranty if the contractor doesn’t honor it?? David didn’t even honor the contract for a problem that occurred within the first 5 months. You’re only as good as your word and sorry to say his word is useless."
