"Both jobs were unusual. First was in a plaster and lathe ceiling. Second was on a very tall chimney. These craftsmen are great. I have tight scheduling and when you make an appointment, you make an appointment. I was really nervous about how much they charge (why I started with a small job ;-]). Don't be. Give them a try."

I’m a father here in Tulsa. Usually working in film, but my dad is also getting older. So, I wanted to start thes home improvement services in Tulsa so my dad would stick around and feel comfortable with money in his pocket. Also to just give my dad things to do up here in the big city. Right now he will drive 2 hours back to his hometown to work maybe 2-3 days out of each week. He doesn’t get around like he used to. Just want him safe and happy .

"Joe did a fantastic job and I'm pretty sure our new deck will outlast the rest of the house! He worked with us to design a custom setup at a great price. There were a few schedule problems, but nothing major, especially considering he took on our job while still moving to the area. We'd definitely recommend him and would happily hired him for any other deck repair/remodel jobs."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

There are several maintenance tips you should take to ensure your pellet stove's safety and proper maintenance. You should vacuum the ash pan every week to prevent overflowing and clean the stove and surrounding vents every three to four months. It’s also important to get a professional inspection every year and install a carbon monoxide detector close to your stove. Be sure to dispose of hot ashes in a closed metal container; store it outside, away from the house. Only use the pellets recommended by your stove's manufacturer, and follow any cleaning and maintenance instructions.

To prevent carbon monoxide poisoning on a propane heater, make sure that your heater is suitable for indoor use. When you run the heater, it should always be in a well-ventilated area with proper air circulation. Installing carbon monoxide detectors on every level of your home is also essential. If you have any questions about using a heater indoors, contact a local heating and oil company for more information.

Yes, a hot or overheating outlet is a fire hazard and can cause a fire. An outlet becoming hot indicates an electrical problem, such as an overloaded circuit, loose connections, or a faulty component. The heat from these issues can ignite nearby flammable materials like curtains or furniture. If you notice an outlet is hot to the touch, turn off the power at the circuit breaker, unplug any connected devices, and consult a qualified electrician. If a fire does start, use a Class C fire extinguisher or baking soda to suppress it, or evacuate immediately and call the fire department.

According to the National Fire Protection Association’s Code NFPA 25 (titled “Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems”), private fire hydrants must undergo inspection once per year, with an accompanying flow test and any necessary maintenance performed on the same schedule. Keep in mind that your town, city, or county may adopt more or less strict testing requirements.

A fireplace hearth is necessary in most areas per building codes, especially for gas and wood-burning fireplaces. Electric fireplaces may not require a hearth, so check local building codes or ask a pro for guidance if you’re leaning toward electric. A fireplace hearth can decrease the risk of flying embers creating a fire and burning your home down. That’s why fireproof material, like tile, is used for the hearth.
