"Not only did Anthony fix my sprinkler system, he did landscaping to smooth out where a sewer pipe had been dug out, applied sod on the entire area, trimmed huge trees so they wouldn't fall on my roof, mowed my yard weekly then aerated and reseeded my yard. Plus redid my front flower beds. If you need anything done, give Great Plains Dirt Pro a call. Anthony will take care of you!!"

"He did an amazing job! Completed the job in one day, 230 linear feet of chain link fence, and three gates. He even came out the next day and lowered a few spots for us for free. And ontop of the great job that was done, he also helped me with cutting down a tree that had fallen in my backyard due to a storm that had rolled through the previous night. Great work! Great prices!"

"Double Jâ s Services LLC Let me start by saying I was wowed by the customer service! They completed a home demolition product for me including complete demolition , backfill , sewer seal off , land grading, and property clean up with tree removal, I see why they advertise they provide services. They completed project with time to spare from the time line I provided. Iâ m amazed with the quality of their work , their pricing beats all the competitors. Most of all they treat the little projects with the same respect and urgency that other companies reserve for huge projects. Amazing prices, supreme work, unmatched time management and top tier customer service is why I give them 10/10 and All 5 stars."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Permit requirements to clear land vary by municipality, so whether or not you need permits depends on where you live and what you’re removing from the land. Some building departments will require permits for any underground work or excavation, meaning grinding down tree stumps on your property would require permits. Others mandate individual permits for each tree you remove. You can contact your local building department or a land-clearing specialist near you to see if permits are necessary for your job.

You can’t build on undeveloped land without preparing it for construction, which involves running utilities to the site or accounting for private utilities like wells and septic systems and grading and compacting the soil for safe construction. Once you prepare the land, you can build on it as long as the project abides by local zoning regulations.

Surveys completed by licensed surveyors can be recorded with a local surveying records office, and in most cases, they will be. Filing survey reports categorize them as legal documents, and they can be used whenever legal documentation of your property’s boundaries is needed. While you’re not required to file survey documents, it’s a good idea to do so.

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.
