We highly recommend First Grade Excavating. We contacted Richard Hancock concerning drainage issues on our newly purchased home built in the 50's. It was clear from our 1st meeting he had the knowledge, experience and sense of urgency to get the job done. His passion for what he does, and good nature provided outstanding customer service, ensuring we understood our options to help make the best decision to correct the drainage effectively and within our budget. He was very responsive to our calls and questions and most of all got the job complete per his commitment. I have high expectations when it comes to Customer Service and Richard went above and beyond in every category.

They showed up on the day promised and transformed our yard! We had a sidewalk put in by a different contractor and it was put in above the grade of our yard instead of dug in. This caused issues with the grade and drainage in our yard. Rick and his crew brought out tons of dirt and their equipment and had the yard looking great with positive drainage in no time. They planted grass seed and now, a couple weeks later, we have new grass coming in and a great looking yard. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire this company for another future project. Rick and his guys were great!!

They were very knowledgeable and experienced. I'm just upset because we were going to use them again but they never provided the quote for the replacement patio like I had asked.

These guys were great. Came out and did a free quote. During the quote, Rick walked me through everything. They were all very friendly and efficient. They were actually able to come out a few days early, they called me to let me know. Once they got there they were able to finish the whole yard in about an hour's time. We were very impressed and really appreciate the work they've done.

I hired them to do some grading to fix poor draining. The owner went above and beyond to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. They ran into a few issues but handled it well and made sure we knew what was going on. I would definitely hire them again!

They are very nice they. They were here when they said they would be and got the work done. They took my old patio slap out and left the area nice and neat. I have another project for them to do at a later date.

Hired them to take out a bunch of trees and level the ground to put in a fence. The owner went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly and to our satisfaction. We hired them again to do more work, and would not hesitate to call them back if we ever need this type of work again.
