"Sam inspected & cleaned our fireplace & while inspecting the chimney he found damage caused by a woodpecker & ensuing water damage. He cleaned out & replaced the damage, including some siding. Sam is very personable, professional and very easy to work with. We are very happy with Sam's work. We will use his business again in the future and will recommend him to anyone needing work on their fireplace!"

"I was impressed with two tips he offered (1) for those who burn with real wood logs - after the fire is going well toss 2 Tbsp salt into the flames - it will keep the creosote from building up and (2) he said if I would roll up a newspaper, light it & place near the pilot, close the fireplace doors and slowly turn the gas on, it will start the flame without my worrying about the" whooshing" feel and sound. He recalled he redid all the caps in our HOA 10+ years ago; therefore scoffed at my previous (Top Hat) service who repaired and sealed with crown coat; said it didn't need it (although the inspector for the sale of the home said it needed to be sealed; (when Top Hat looked at it, he said the person that sealed it for the sale of the home did not seal the crack correctly)Also, he did not go up on the roof to check the crown - said he didn't need to because it was OK. So, for $125.00 I got one piece of advise that affected me, my fireplace vacuumed, and several stories about customers and work he has done in the neighborhood from a very personable, and prompt man."

"Amazing company! I called around lunchtime to have my water heater looked at and they came out that evening to fix it. The workers were very friendly and the bill was lower than expected. I will recommend MVP Plumbing to anyone who will listen!"

"Ben unexpectedly showed up the day after I called with a window unit so that it would be cool in my house, until they could install the new unit. He promised me that he would be here on Monday at 10:00 AM and showed up on time with his full crew. They all went immediately to work, and I was amazed at the professional way they completed their work in such a short time.
He promised me he would get me a unit with the same capacity and warranty (Made in America) as the other people I contacted for an estimate but for less. He not only came in several hundred dollars less with the exact same warranty, but included a ultraviolet air purifier, as well as a water pump to remove the condensation to a drain instead of outside my house like my old unit.
I'm older and about to retire and I haven't bought anything on credit since I was laid off over a year ago, so I don't have a credit rating. He worked out a payment plan instead of making me apply for financing which saved me a lot of money on interest. A handshake was all that was needed. Good to see there are still some good old fashion merchants still around that are willing to work with their customers on an individual basis.
I told him that I had a hard time changing the filter where it was located on my old unit, so he relocated it to a place that I could just slide out the used filter and put in a new one.
He then had me contact his wife who takes care of the vent cleaning side of the business and she also came in $50.00 less than the other bids, because she gave me a discount for my doing business with them.
He and his workers were friendly, courteous and hard working.
Then he came back on Wednesday to check if everything was working properly.
In the future I will not hesitate to call him for any maintenance on my new heating-A/C units but also to do any plumbing and fireplace work I need to have done.
What a great experience!

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

Gas grill installation costs around $540 on average, not including the price of the actual grill, and most homeowners pay between $120 and $1,400. This total will go toward laying down a new gas line, connecting it to your existing gas system, pressure testing the line, and connecting it to your grill. Your total project price will depend on the length of the gas line, whether or not the line needs to be installed underground, and the cost of the permits in your area.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

Yes, you can lay a gas grill flat during transportation. Laying it flat can help prevent it from moving around the truck during the journey. It’s still advisable to secure the grill with bungee cords, just in case.
