Lay a heavy object, like a book, over the area while the contact cement dries to prevent it from re-lifting.

Contact cement is the best glue for resticking laminate to countertops. For best results, find a product that specifically states that it can be used to secure laminate countertops, such as 3M High-Strength Spray Adhesive, Weldwood Contact Cement, Gorilla Max Strength Clear Construction Adhesive, or 3M Fastbond. Before gluing, sand the area you plan to glue to remove any large debris and to rough it up for better adhesion.
