Four generations of our family have been involved in our storm shelter business. From start to finish—the design, the fabrication, the warranty work, installation and sales. We have installed tornado shelters in the following states: Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina and Virginia. Additional phones numbers - (405) 880-1351, (580) 336-1351. Additional DBA - Ground Zero Shelters, Co. Additional fax - (580) 336-1356.

"Perfect. I enjoyed getting to sit in the storm shelters at their showroom to help with size selection. After signing up for the install, they connect you to an online portal to manage the contract and to update building permit number, etc. Installation was prompt and clean."

We employee a full time staff of eleven. We provide quality work and concise proposals with all work being drawn up in a contract so there is never a question as to the work being performed or the terms of payment. There are times we will sub contract out for certain phases of the remodeling project, which might include electrical, plumbing, roofing or concrete work. We have built a very reliable and quality relationship with our sub contractors so we always know the job is being done in accordance with our standards and practices. Additional email - [email protected]. Additional contact - William Rector.

"From estimate through finish of work the employees showed on time, explained what was going on and answered any questions. They cleaned up after themselves. No problems of any kind."

Garages questions, answered by experts

Garage doors that are not insulated can be a major source of heat loss. That’s why it’s essential to winterize your garage door with insulation and weather stripping to prevent heat loss and keep it warm more easily. Consult a local garage door installer if you need help determining the cause of your garage losing heat.

You don’t need a garage door opener unless you need or desire the convenience they offer. While you may be able to open some garage doors manually, having a garage door opener makes life a lot easier. There is an exception, though—a motorized opener is an absolute must if you have a two-car garage (or larger), as the door will be too heavy for the average person to lift on their own.

It is possible to manually open a garage door. However, whether you should manually open a garage door depends on the source of the problem. If the door doesn't open because of a broken spring or cable, for safety's sake, you'll want to leave the door closed until you can have a professional inspect it and repair it. If the problem lies with the opener itself, you should usually have no problem opening the door manually.

You can expect your seal to last anywhere from 1 to 5 years. Several factors affect this—material, frequency of use, and the weather. For example, seals made from high-quality rubber are built to withstand the elements and can go the distance with a little TLC. If your door sees a lot of action or faces extreme heat or cold, the seal could wear out more quickly. Regular maintenance—like cleaning and lubrication—can make your seal last longer. And while it’s rare, a professionally installed seal on a smooth floor can potentially last up to 10 years.

Yes. Paint will protect your garage floors, making them more resistant to water, mold, mildew, and oil stains. Depending on your paint choice, painted surfaces are easier to clean and maintain.
