"Mr. Burdge is a conscientious and pleasant gentleman who comes once a month from early Spring until late Summer. I have not been bothered by spiders since he started approximately six years ago. I find his rates of $54.00 a month quite reasonable and he has not increased them since he started. He simply sticks his bill to the garage door with a magnet and goes on to the next job. Thank you, Mr. Burdge—I’ll see you next spring!"

With over 100 years in business, we are earning your trust. Founded in 1915, Plunkett’s Pest Control is a family-owned & operated company with third-generation ownership. Plunkett’s delivers professional pest control services to residential and commercial clients in 20 states and growing. Our entire staff is knowledgeable, trustworthy, resourceful, and passionate about preventing & solving pest concerns for our clients and safeguarding the communities we call home.

"100% would recommend Mica from Plunkett’s to deal with your cockroach issues. We had roaches off and on for many months, despite a good cleaning regime etc., and eventually realized other units in our shared building had the same issues. Mica quickly and precisely diagnosed the source of the issue, was real with us about time and possible costs, worked with us in coordinating multiple units, patiently answered all questions, and in the end helped my neighbors and I deal with this extremely persistent issue in a relatively short time frame. He approached treatment with a lot of care and thought, in particular listening and adjusting for our concerns re: safety of our young toddler. This was a big one for us! Plunkett’s was a bit more expensive than some other pest control companies we looked at, but neighbors had already tried multiple other services and it never got rid of the issue. In the end, it was probably cheaper than multiple ineffective treatments, but more importantly we haven’t seen a roach in several months."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Look for consistent buzzing sounds, visible hives, or increased bee activity around your property.

Early spring or late fall removals are ideal when bees are less active, and hive removal is safer.

No, ground bees are not detrimental to the health of your lawn. In fact, the small holes created by ground bees can actually offer beneficial aeration which moisturizes and nourishes the ground. Additionally, ground bees are highly regarded as vital pollinators, meaning they help plants to reproduce. Unless you’re battling a severe infestation, leaving ground bees undisturbed can boost the health of your yard and the environment.

Whereas a honeybee can only sting you once, a yellow jacket can sting you multiple times because they don’t leave stingers in the skin. In the unfortunate case that you get stung by a yellow jacket, it’s important to react calmly and quickly. Immediately ice the affected area until the swelling subsides. You may also take an antihistamine if necessary. If you experience an allergic reaction to a yellow jacket sting or have been stung several times, seek medical care right away.

Honey bees are most likely to swarm during spring and early summer, typically from April through June, as colonies expand and prepare for new growth. Swarming occurs when a hive becomes overcrowded, prompting the queen and a group of worker bees to leave in search of a new nesting site. During this time, you may notice a temporary increase in bee activity around your property.
