It became the worst nightmare of my life. I hired him and he said the project would take about a week. He ripped up the walls and doors in my home when he removed my bathtub. He was doing drugs while he was in the home. He took my $3500 worth of materials and destroyed everything. He didn't even have a clue. It wasn't done in a week and finally I ran him off. He tried to file suit with me because I broke the contract, but I got a lawyer and when I checked around, I found that he had done this with another company, as well. He was trying to intimidate me. With all of the losses, I'm out about $10,000. Even the kitchen counter was done incorrectly. He cut it crooked and it had to be replaced, as well. He is absolutely a crook and everything he touched was broken."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ky/unknown/l-and-l-construction-reviews-8201019.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"O'NAN'S K-9 ACADEMY INC","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Angela G."},"reviewBody":"They take good care of both my dogs! They didn't properly brace the countertops they installed. The company working on my cabinets put in braces. When the plumber they sent installed my sink he didn't attach the hose for my dishwasher. He told me it was because the dishwasher wasn't there yet but it was in the kitchen at that time. He installed a used piece under my sink as well, I thought I would have to buy a replacement part from Lowe's for this. After letting them know about the situation Lowe's gave me the piece for free and I ended up installing it myself. Lowe's did everything they could to make the situation good for me. I shopped various cabinet companies, but when I went to Phill's Custom Cabinets in Owensboro, KY, I knew I found a company that would be perfect in helping me fulfill my wishes. Brenda was so great to work with, offering suggestions and solutions. I had some unique sizing constraints and some ideas different than most traditional kitchens. I did not want a sink in my island, but did want a wood top - table quality. It made for spacing of appliances and cabinets a bit tricky, but Phill's was up to the challenge. Brenda worked all the cabinets into a beautiful space with two arches, one over the stove and one over the sink. The wood top is gorgeous and the granite is stunning.
Everyone at Phill's took their time with me and let me bring in magazine after magazine photo, as well as others and helped me put everything together.
Phill's made a wall of and quot;cubbiesand quot;, as I did not want traditional book shelves. The trim work, corbels, under cabinet trim, toe kicks and everything about my cabinets worked out.
I also have a unique mud room/pantry/laundry room. Phill's designed a smaller island for this room, pedestals for my washer and dryer that are large enough for my laundry baskets to go under (no more buying expensive metal pedestals) and my bathroom vanity, as well.
Everyone at Phill's made me feel welcome at right at home when I would meet with Brenda. greeting me by name and always offering opinions when I asked. Even, the owner, Phill, Jr., worked on my plans and offered me suggestions several times during the planning process.
Brian did an excellent job on the installation, including crown mold and some bead board trim pieces.
Phill's is quick in making the cabinets and stands behind their work. I know I am going to love my kitchen for a very, very long time. I highly recommend anyone planning a new kitchen or a re-model, to use Phill's Custom Cabinet's in Owensboro, KY. They are caring and conscientious and I appreciate all of them...especially Brenda!

I reached out to him again around Thanksgiving and we quickly found time to meet and move forward with the project. Initial project was to complete the Laundry and Kitchen construction along with painting the pipes in the basement. As things progressed I decided to go ahead with the painting and trim and could not be happier with the decision. Everything turned out fantastic and the team showed a real dedication to quality work and attention to detail, frequently going above and beyond what was asked or expected. Also, price includes most of the materials (excluding about $400-500 in paint) for the entire project. Troy was the plumber on my job, he left a pipe open under the sink and water came flooding all over my kitchen floors and cabinets.
They left all the old piping underneath the house. My son had to crawl in there and get them out, and then we had to call them to come and get them.
I can't use the hot water at all in my double (master suite) sinks. I have to shut my washing machine off 12 times during a load to avoid overflow, and it backs up in my kitchen sink.

The average cost of an outdoor kitchen is around $15,500. However, since outdoor kitchens are highly customizable, you could spend anywhere from $5,000 to over $50,000 for your setup. Some important factors that can affect your pricing include the size of the kitchen, the materials you use—specifically for the countertop—the type of grill you want, and any add-on products you want coupled with your installation.
No, even if you have a vague idea of what you want, it’s a good idea to reach out to a contractor that specializes in outdoor kitchens for assistance. Professionals who have constructed kitchens for other homeowners can not only help you think about the functionality and convenience of your outdoor space—which many homeowners neglect—but they can also help you choose high-quality, durable materials that meet your budget and match the rest of your outdoor space. In fact, it’s often better to contact a contractor and get the ball rolling before you have a solidified plan for your outdoor kitchen.
Yes, outdoor kitchens usually deliver around a 50% ROI in terms of home value. This is lower than some home improvement projects, but combined with the utility you enjoy yourself, most homeowners find it well worth the investment. The specific bump in property value you’ll see from your outdoor kitchen depends on the size and quality, as well as how much usable yard space it takes up.
In many cases, you will not need permits to install an outdoor kitchen because it’s not usually considered a permanent structure and doesn’t require a foundation. If you run natural gas lines to a grill, plumbing lines to an outdoor sink, or electrical lines for lighting and power, your contractor will likely need to pull permits.
However, every municipality is different, so you should defer to a professional outdoor kitchen contractor to confirm which portions of your outdoor kitchen project require building permits.
