"Everything turned out fantastic. They responded with an estimate immediately and ready to get to work. They were very efficient in painting our vaulted ceilings and livingroom/bathroom/hallways. They also installed a vinyl floor in a bathroom. They cleaned up their mess, moved our furniture back and mopped the floor. I would hire them again for any projects I have. In addition, his rates are very reasonable. I'm sure I will be calling them back to do some exterior painting!!"

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"In our basement we had only florescent lighting The lights were a huge box 4ft long and 2ft wide recessed in the ceiling. I detested the lighting so we hired Aaron to replace all the lighting in the great room and bedrooms. He gave us suggestions and designed a plan. Everyone loves the canned lights that are on dimmer switches. The rooms are more up to date and have such a warm cozy feel. All the openings in the ceiling were enclosed, wiring replaced and reworked to code,, and ceiling was retextured to match the existing. A big project that was messy. Aaron made sure to cover everything and also drape plastic so any dust from sanding did not go thru entire house. Love this update! Wish we had completed long ago."

Closets questions, answered by experts

A standard walk-in closet has dimensions of 7 feet by 10 feet at a minimum and an average of 100 square feet. Remember that the dimensions of the closet aren’t necessarily the usable space. This means that a 100-square-foot walk-in closet with shelves on each wall and an island may only have a walkable area of 50 square feet or less. Make sure you consider the effect of additions when you plan the room—mockups are a great idea.

You can design your own closet, but it’s usually better to hire a professional to do the work for you. Not only will you get years of design experience to guide you toward the right layout and material choices, but you’ll also only pay slightly more hiring a professional than you would creating your own plans and hiring a carpenter. A high-quality closet designer can provide insight into how to lay out your closet, and they may be able to find you a good deal on the carpentry or complete the work using an affordable, in-house team.

Building custom cabinets or built-in furniture yourself is possible, especially for basic designs, if you have woodworking experience. For a professional result, hiring a service is recommended to ensure precision, high-quality craftsmanship, and superior finishes.

Common materials include wood, laminate, and wire. Choose based on durability, style, and budget.

When storing your clothes long-term, first consider the container's breathability. While plastic bags, cardboard boxes, or vacuum sealing may be great options for short-term storage, they won’t help your clothes hold up in the long term. Breathable plastic boxes and fabric bags help with airflow, prevent mold or mildew from building up, and allow proper airflow.
