"Paul uses large equipment that helps him to finish the job in a hurry. Excellent work. I asked him specifically to re-check a couple of areas that I unburied and he cut those areas shorter."

"Colin and his crew did an amazing job in helping us redesign our front yard after a major sewer replacement turned it into a big dirt pit. From the beginning stages Colin made helpful suggestions to put together a design that we loved. Both Colin and the office manager Monica were responsive to any questions that came up along the way. Friendly crew that worked very hard and did an impeccable clean-up job each day. It looks like a brand new house from the outside and we couldn't be happier! Definitely would recommend and will be hiring again as other landscaping needs come up."

"I had over 30 windows. Some of the edges looked like they were missed, maybe the squeegee didnâ t get to it. You had to look close to see it. But overall very satisfied"

"Corey Allen had delays in getting to my home after the job was bid based on inclement weather, but arrived as promised this past Tuesday. They did a beautiful job in removing the trees and thoroughly cleaning up the debris. He was very careful not to damage my yard with their big equipment. It was a terrific job at a fair price. I would recommend him to anyone."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.

These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
