It was ill advised to hire Witsken! We had trees removed and we were supposed to have tree stumps removed and ground out. However, clearly tree stumps were not removed and not ground out, as per owner Witsken's representations and per the specifications of the work which was ordered and paid for. We had trees removed, from which we have sizeable turf divots atop a subterranean geo-thermal system. A standard of service for stump removal and stump grinding calls for removal and grinding. Stumps are either removed and ground out, or they are not. In our case they were not. When others cleaned up the job site of wood chips, which was the Witsken company responsibility to complete, after Witsken crew left, the partially removed stumps which were not ground out were discovered. When contacted Owner, Witsken was unresponsive, difficult to contact, and then ultimately refused to come back to finish the job for which he had been paid. Mr. Witsken did not supervise the job and he left the job site before workers completed the contracted work. His crew left an incomplete job and failed to properly clean the job site. Mr. Witsken stated he would not rent another stump grinder for $500 and actually claimed and attempted to assert that no tree stumps were exposed or remained. All the while he refused to inspect the work himself. A simple visible inspection would still to this date reveal otherwise. See photos attached. Witsken refused to come meet and to re-inspect, and claimed his work was finished. Later he told us via text message he would possibly return at some later unmentioned time, when it was convenient for him, (when someone else pays for the stump grinder rental, presumably), provided we complied with his demands to sign some documentation, (presumably some release) copies of which were never furnished to us. We have landscape planting to complete, and it is rather difficult to grow anything above partially removed and partially ground out tree stumps. So, we have to hire someone else to complete the tree stump removal and grinding work, at additional cost to us, for which we already paid Witsken, in full. Mr. Witsken is unethical and his is a disreputable and his work practices render him an altogether unprofessional business man. We would strongly advise Carmel home owners and area consumers to avoid this vendor.

The first jobs were ok. The dry lot was not a very professional job. The site doesn't drain well. I found Steve to be arrogant and rude at times.

Trees were trimmed and 3 trees removed. They did not return to grind stumps as promised. The drainage issue wasn't resolved and there is still standing water. The rocks used around drainage grate were too small and went down the drain.

Amazing experience. Way beyond my expectations.
