"Extremely satisfied with the work done. Very professional, they were very careful with cover up all furniture and items. The walls look so great! Cleaned up every day. I highly recommend this company and would use them again. You won't be disappointed if you choose them!"

"It went great.  The walls in one bathroom were in rough shape owing to wallpaper removal efforts on my part.  I thought Pro Decor would just paint the room but they exceeded expectations with the skim coat.  The ceiling in the kitchen had a bad seam where a wall had been removed and badly patched by a contractor.  Pro Decor dug out those bad results and fixed it correctly.  It all looks great and the price was equally great."

"Marcos is a busy man. Once we agreed on a price he put the job on his calendar. This was a small job of painting old cement blocks with the goal of waterprofing. He did a great job and even came back to do a third coat on the old blocks. It now looks great. Marcos also painted the floor to complete the job. He will work you into his schedule when possible. YES I will be calling him the next time I need help. Thanks Marcos"

"Very happy with the job Priority Painting did on my exterior house painting project. I have an old house that needed a lot of prep and Manny did a very thorough and complete job. All aspects of the job were done exceptionally well. Manny accommodated every question, concern, or addition that I had. Originally, my biggest concern with finding a painter was that they would cut corners and rush through the job. Using Priority was the right decision and they took the time necessary to do an amazing job. Highly recommended!"

"Jim Spears and his crew demonstrated why they have previously scored so highly on Angie's list. Over the five visits, the crew was always timely and have transformed what was a tired looking living room and dining room into like new wall surfaces. In the 12x24 living room, they removed the old canvas like wall covering, skimmed all the walls and replaced the plaster in a textured ceiling and two wall areas that had completely broken away. The dining room was the real test where ultra thick textured plaster was on all walls. The walls were floated to a smooth finish and sanded. The finished product looks great and Jim and his team were committed to addressing any detailing that needed performed following priming of the walls. If you have an older home, this repair process sure beats replacing all the plaster and lathe but be warned, it's a dusty process so make sure you seal off all areas thoroughly and be prepared to dust for days. Thanks Angie's List and thanks Jim Spears Plastering!"

"Gary, Repaired the drywall in our dining room that was damaged when old wallpaper was removed by us. He skimmed the walls with plaster, primed, and painted them. We also have some staining coming through the ceiling around the edge where the modling was as over time, it had started to come through the paster on the ceilings in two rooms. Gary primed and painted these ceilings. He also painted the ceiling in our great room which rises 22 ft up. He was exceptional in cleaning up, especially after he sanded the dining room after repairing the drywall. Even our chandlier was cleaned and our large table put back into the room. He is dependable to show up on the time he says he will. This is the second time we have used him and recommended him and his work to my friends."

"This started as Angie's list big deal for wall paper removal and painting.  When the owner came to assess and schedule the work, I had high expectations and decided to expand the scope from my initial plans.  Originally, we decided to have a crew come in and complete the work within 2 days for October 4 and 5th. The team showed up on time and the work started off well the first day.  I was surprised that they didn't have drop cloths or covered the furniture as much as I had anticipated. The second day did not go so well.  Mid afternoon when I came out of my office, only one person was present.  The others had apparently left due to need to complete another job.  What I saw was heart breaking.  I had new stainless steel appliances from earlier in the year and they were covered with dust from the sanding of walls.  Several floor ares and floor boards were also covered.  I turned my frustration into cleaning.  The owner returned, not expecting the extent of work left.  He did pitch in to assist with the clean up and offered to pay for carpet cleaning.  After several hours, things looked better and the team left.  Soon after, I went into the half bath that needed wall paper removal and was again greatly disappointed.  I have a laundry room off of the half bath where I had moved many of the fixtures and items from the family room that was painted.  Although I had the door closed, upon entry - the room was covered in the sand dust.  I spent the rest  of the evening and into Saturday, cleaning the items that were moved into that room just so I could do laundry on Sunday.  I also found a strip of wallpaper that was not removed from the half bath. This same half bath looked like it needed a second coat of paint.  I began looking a little closer and decided I needed to wash all dishes in the kitchen since some of the dust seeped into the cabinets. I notified the owner of my displeasure and need to complete the work in the half bath. He was agreeable and we set a return date.  About six weeks later, several reschedules (some due to my schedule, others due to the contractor's schedule), the work in the half bath was "acceptable".   The quality is not what I had expected, but it is liveable and I may have another company come for improvements later.
Overall, they started out strong but finished weak.  Although the owner was responsive and willing to make things right; the clean-up and six weeks to get the issue resolved has left a negative impression. In the future I will consider a different company unless this company rating and reviews has greatly improved.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Having dated, peeling, or otherwise damaged wallpaper can decrease the value of your property, so removing that before listing your house is nearly always a good idea; however, since wallpaper tends to be a personal style choice, potential buyers may or may not love your aesthetic as much as you do.

Love the look of wallpaper but want to consider property value as well? Stick with something that is easy to change. If you are thinking of selling soon, make sure your wallpaper hanging is on-point and looks professional with no crooked seams, evenly matched patterns, and minimal bubbling or other imperfections.

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.

To pair a unique sense of style with white walls, keep them well-decorated. Hang vibrant art or bold furniture to add color to the room. Add some texture and greenery to the space with plants. Choose accent pieces such as throw pillows or light fixtures with patterns. Having a white wall can be a plus as it allows homeowners to easily decorate their homes as they desire without worrying about clashing with the paint color.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.

Hanging wallpaper may seem simple, but in practice it requires significant planning and finesse to make it look professional. To start, you need to get an even application of wallpaper paste across all of your wallpaper, which requires experience and large pasting tables to get right. You also need to plan out your design and match it exactly so that you don’t have imperfections in the finished product. It’s often better to hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can get the job done properly for a clean, smooth finish.
