"Everything turned out fantastic. They responded with an estimate immediately and ready to get to work. They were very efficient in painting our vaulted ceilings and livingroom/bathroom/hallways. They also installed a vinyl floor in a bathroom. They cleaned up their mess, moved our furniture back and mopped the floor. I would hire them again for any projects I have. In addition, his rates are very reasonable. I'm sure I will be calling them back to do some exterior painting!!"

"I would highly recommend W&J. Not only were they prompt in providing a quote, but they did excellent quality work at a very fair price. They were professional, cleaned up the job site afterwards, and showed so much respect by wearing masks throughout the job. I can't tell you how much we appreciated all of that. We will definitely hire them in the future and recommend them to friends and family!"

"Nick and his team did an excellent job remodeling our very dated basement and doing several other smaller projects. The price was definitely reasonable. We appreciated the quality of the work as well as the willingness to work with us to provide exactly what we wanted done. The communication during all of the projects was great. We would definitely hire them again for other projects"

"Mike and Jose were great to do business with. Did a door replace and Mike picked up my door at Lowes to save me 74 dollars with delivery and hauled away my old door as well. Both are very good, efficient and nice. Door looks great and lockset as well. It's too early to see the energy benefits but really enjoy the look and everything."

Closets questions, answered by experts

You can budget a little less money for how to build a closet with wire shelves than with wood shelves. Some people don’t like the aesthetics that wire shelves provide, though, meaning they’ll gladly spend a little more to add wood shelves to the build. If you decide to buy pre-made wire shelves instead of building custom-sized wood shelves, you’ll be restricted in the closet shelving dimensions you can use.

Building custom cabinets or built-in furniture yourself is possible, especially for basic designs, if you have woodworking experience. For a professional result, hiring a service is recommended to ensure precision, high-quality craftsmanship, and superior finishes.

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.

To prevent sagging, consider both the material and the span of the shelf. Using sturdy materials such as plywood or solid wood can provide better support than particleboard. Additionally, limiting the shelf span to 36 inches or less can reduce the risk of sagging. For longer shelves, incorporating center supports or brackets can offer additional reinforcement.

DIY is possible for basic designs. Professional services ensure proper construction and space optimization.
