I've use Hartman Brothers for 20 years.  It wasn't much; it was probably $160 with labor and then we signed contract with them for annual maintenance. They are very responsive.

We purchased are new furnace and air conditioner from them. We have their service agreement each year. The service includes checking the furnace and air conditioner once each year. They come out immediately if there is a problem with either thing. I have purchased 2 furnaces and air conditioners from them in the past 30 years. They are a great company to work with. The servicemen are always very pleasant.

I am always hesitant to hire because I am accused of being a perfectionist. I have to say working with Hartman Brotherswas outstanding! From the start, when I call for an estimate Rick showed up on time and well prepared. He had several options to think about. Over the process of deciding Rick was a good source of information. What was most impressive was Rick would email and mail out any and all paperwork, everything was well documented and followed through on what he said. The day of the install Rick showed up with the install crew to make sure everyone was on the same page and that my expectations were met. The install crew was friendly, courteous, personable and knowledgeable. It seemed they only had one mission at hand and it didn't matter what obstacles stood in the way, they did what had to be done to do the job right and not half-hearted.

They were very professional. They did the work on time. We have a small utility closet in the garage for the furnace and they made sure it all fit right. They also ran ducts to the attic.

They have always been prompt and reliable. Their service has always been very good. I would recommend them to anyone.

I always use them for my heating and AC. They do their best to get the customer the lowest price and they always give you different pricing options so you can make an informed choice. It's just been good to work with as far as servicing all along the way too.

The proposal was excellent, provided with plenty of information for us to intelligently decide what options we wanted. All of the work was performed in one day. The new furnace is much quieter than the old but what I like best is our new thermostat system, the Evolution Control. When we recently had a day where it was in the high 70's during the afternoon but plunged into the 40's at night, I had expected for the A/C to kick in during the day but was the pleasantly surprised when I woke during the night to hear the furnace running. It is so nice not to have to change from A/C to heat control, it takes care of everything.

UPDATE: My husband was upset a few days after the installation when he noticed a new white PVC pipe sticking out of the garage roof. We had not been told beforehand that they would be doing this. I contacted the company and Rick Hartman came to the house to speak with me. I expressed my husband's upset and Rick explained how they are required to do certain things to pass codes. In this case, there were limitations on the length of the pipes and the materials used. In the end, I feel that the main problem here was communication and not quality of the work. He offered a discounted rate on a one-year service and maintenance plan, which we accepted. Hartman's stands behind their work and tries to make happy customers.

Very professional and thorough. Owner is very hands on and addressed any questions and problems. House is much warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer and bills have gone down. Had several issues that turned out weren't related to the installation but they fixed them anyway free of charge. They now are servicing our equipment annually. Would recommend.

I would recommend them. They were really thorough and friendly. Their receptionist contacted me daily in terms of an update.
