"Brindley was incredible! I'm not sure I have ever seen anyone as industrious and thorough. He stayed true to his estimate. He prepped the deck, replaced the weather damaged planks and spindles. Everything was done in a timely manner. I could not be more pleased. Photos available."

Small jobs welcome

"I am very pleased with my new screened in porch. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Lonnie was communicative through the entire project and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. He and his assistant, Henry, paid attention to every detail, discussed various options with me, and also educated me along the way so that I was completely at ease with the process. As an added bonus, my cat got some great perches! They were very professional and conscientious. I did not have to lift a finger to clean anything up. My garage looks better now than it did before they started! I can't say enough good things about Lonnie and Henry. It was a pleasure having them around! If I have any home improvement projects in the future, I will not hesitate to reach out to Lonnie again."

"The roof replacement was fine, but he didn't seal/paint the soffit. This caused a delay in the completion of the repairs I need to complete for an appraiser to sign off on the sale of the house, which caused a delay in the close date. Punctuality and professionalism.

"We had an older home which needed a complete kitchen and bath update. Our remodeling job required extensive skills in carpentry, drywall, plumbing, cabinetry, finish trim work and painting. My wife and I were delighted with the finished appearance and the quality of the work. From start to finish, we were also impressed with the speed and efficiency of the entire process. In addition, we were happy to see how every effort was made to maintain a clean and safe work area."

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The most likely causes of a deck leaning to one side are damaged deck posts, soil erosion, and inadequate deck footings. If you’re not sure about the exact cause, the best option is to call a contractor who can build a deck to inspect the damage and recommend the best way forward.

Both aluminum and composite decking materials are environmentally friendly, with aluminum decking coming in as the most eco-friendly option.

Though composite decking helps remove plastics from landfills, recycles wood, and lasts longer than traditional wood decks, it’s not recyclable and only lasts for 25 to 30 years on average. Aluminum can last well over 30 years and is almost always recyclable.

The best paver for your pool deck depends on your budget, style, and how much maintenance you’re willing to invest. Granite is one of the best low-cost pavers for pool decks. It’s very slip-resistant and durable, too, making it a top pick. Travertine is a high-quality material that resists freeze-thaw cycles, looks stunning, and won’t get hot in the summer. The only downside to travertine is that it costs more than granite.

Rot loves moisture, so deck rot typically impacts the parts of a board that stay wet. This includes the underside of boards, in addition to support posts and joists. However, any part of a board can rot, given the right conditions.

Yes, adding a composite deck, such as one made from Trex, can significantly increase your home's value. It is a valuable home renovation for recouping costs, with some estimates for return on investment (ROI) ranging between 60% and 70%. More recently, Remodeling's 2024 Cost vs. Value Report suggests a deck addition has an ROI of 82.9%, with an average resale value of nearly $14,600. A new deck makes your yard more functional, enhances the landscape's aesthetic, and can entice prospective buyers. The investment may have a higher return if the deck adds usable square footage to the property.
